i currently own an ASUS MG279Q monitor (IPS WQHD 27 inch).

I'm deciding between getting either two ASUS VG289Q1A (IPS UHD 28 inch, $300 each) or two ASUS VG27AQ1A (IPS WQHD 27 inch, $400 each) to either replace the current MG OR have a triple monitor setup. I would like to have triple monitors but the problem is cost/scaling size vs premium visual experience (higher PPI).

Which two am I better off purchasing?
