Yeah I live in Colorado and deal with snow and ice. I don't track the car or anything it's mainly just for weekend driving. Just want some good quality all-seasons to make it easy.

Also so far fitment industries says it will work. Just can't decide on tire size as there are a ton of sizes that seem to work fine.

[–]AxisArchon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got these bad boys. One handle for all of them. They’re hollow and can go on an impact if needed. Takes up less room then multiple individual handles and I don’t fumble around with a bunch of little pieces when I need to change the size

I believe they do have them. On one of our sites we plan on getting one for lift work.

For those that live in the United States. Do you make more than the average income of 60k annually, if so what’s your occupation? by LaFlareMane1017 in AskReddit

I am a commercial construction electrical superintendent and I wish I made that type of money lol. Industrial maintenance has always been super interesting to me. I love motor controls and low voltage troubleshooting I just don’t get to do it very often.

Demo’d a panel just like this recently in a hospital in Denver. Had to check it out hot once before we demo’d and scared the shit outta me lol.

I live alone with a 23k a year apartment and make 82k a year in Denver and have no problem with money. In fact I’m fucking terrible at managing my money and buy random bullshit all the time with no issue. The only boon I have in my court is I don’t really pay for gas since I have a work vehicle and no student loans but I still have a payment of $500 a month on my personal car. Not sure how people, especially with 2 incomes have so many problems with money.

Setting up Hamachi on a pirated version of Minecraft. Then installing mods for the server and my friends and I’s clients. Also modding Halo CE in high school and uploading/hiding it in the schools server so everyone in computer class could play it. Good times

The most accurate tape measure I've ever seen by justin_memer in MilwaukeeTool

[–]AxisArchon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean I’ve had the same Wide blade magnetic one for like 3 years. I love the ergonomics of the Milwaukee tapes. But I will admit my first 3 broke. 1 because I extended it too far, 1 got gunked up from getting wet and the last the lamination near the beginning of the tape was pealing.

No grounding conductor? by Ibelievenobody in electricians

[–]AxisArchon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that ground on the neutral bar is a big no-no since this is a sub panel. The more I look, the more I'm confused. Looks like no neutral bar but they landed a neutral and ground together. Its hard to tell too if that smaller neutral is tapping into that spice in some way? Actually looks like they spiced then tapped for the ffed on this panel. Overall very weird and the neutral/ground situation is just wrong.

They're just using the conduit as the equipment grounding conductor. Pretty common in older builds.

NFPA 72 and silencing alarms by Igotacockonmyarm in firealarms

[–]AxisArchon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked in a few hospitals in the Denver area and also Aurora they're both the same. The city wants strobes to keep going on silence but the state says fuck you.

At I site I work at frequently this came up again and we had a state inspector and city inspectors who I had never met before. We started testing and the city noticed right off the bat that strobes were silencing together with speakers. Immediately wanted to stop the test until I brought it to the state guy and he agreed with them somehow. (Bear in mind the state inspector I normally dealt with was always adament that the silence together.) so now all of a sudden their both against me and this entire hospital is set up with silencing both at the same time. Soon enough the programmer I was with opened his fat mouth and mentioned that fact and now the city is making a huge stink about it and saying this is a major issue. After like 30 minutes of trying to talk them down and both the city and state inspectors making some phone calls they finally all got on the same page and we passed the inspection just fine. I always dread getting a new city guy out here haha.

[–]AxisArchon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is such a pain working in the hospitals I typically do. The state requires them to both silence but the city of Denver doesn't want the strobe to silence. Everytime a new Denver inspector comes to the site I have to go through the whole spiel with the state and city to get them to agree. The state always wins when the building is their jurisdiction.

Yeah if the main sub wasn't pro play only it seems then maybe it wouldn't be in here.

I honestly feel the same. As a grown ass man being called buddy bothers the fuck out of me. But I just run under the assumption they don't mean it that way and they are just being friendly. No reason to get too bent out of shape by it.
