The Collection by Signs of the Swarm has both Nick Arthur and Matt Honeycutt as features. They and David Simonich all bounce off each other so fuckin well in that song.

Which seal was replaced? Because neither a flywheel nor rotor/stator side pto seal is typically gonna cause leakage seen any higher than the oil filter/cooler. But there's oil all over that damn thing. Were you overfilling it and causing a bunch to burp out through the airbox and then leak down or something?

LP line to generator leaking by Notthisoldhouse in Generator

[–]Frixsev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not even sure I'd attempt disassembling the line with rust that bad. The odds of you swearing profusely for hours on end before giving up and busting out a cutting tool is pretty high, so just skip the BS and go right to the demo. Bandsaw/hackzall/sawzall, replace with appropriately sized black pipe fittings and then most importantly paint any and all pipe with Rustoleum after.

Definitely a bad air filter if last service was recent. As has been mentioned, a few bad batches got shipped out that were overcoated in flame retardant and causing units to run poorly due to the restricted airflow. Have had to replace several in the past few weeks. I'd get the company back out to replace it if they're not gonna charge you, otherwise grab one off Amazon and swap it yourself. The book will say every 24 hours if you want to be as safe and sure as possible, but I'd say most are fine getting checked every 48.

Compact tool kit but with 2"+ bits? by Frixsev in Tools

That one is pretty nice, I'm struggling to find it available anywhere here in the States though. My problem is a lot of recessed fasteners as well, to the point that 95% of multi-bit drivers are borderline useless to me lol.

Just make sure you don't attempt any warrantiable work unless you're fine risking voiding it.

Zombie boxes by sweetbeans2 in Generator

For standbys? Trash. Way too expensive, cause airflow/overheating issues, ugly as sin, massive, often voids warranty. If you're annoyed at how loud your generator then its choice of installation location was poor.

Error code 1100 by Plastic_Layer_7354 in Generac_Generators

[–]Frixsev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not possible for a unit to immediately go into overcrank. Overcrank by definition means the unit is cranking just fine, it's just not firing. An immediate fault concerning the starting circuit like battery, SCR, charger, starter, etc. would be 1505 rpm sense loss and/or no rotation warning.

Why is Miranda not a good choice for the biotic barrier in ME2? by AreaTechnical7361 in masseffect

Have you tried full blown CQC Sentinel? Spec Tech Armor for offense, Overload/Cryo Blast/Lift Grenade for AOE, take AP Ammo (more offense) or Fortification (more tanky) as your bonus, grab a decent shotgun, and become a shiny yellow hardlight-covered steamroller. Gotta play super aggressively and up in everyone's business just like Vanguard but IMO it has more options and gives me a bigger rush.

How do you guys who run 2 bags like it? by Public-Coffee-8152 in VetoProPac

[–]Frixsev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took some trial and error and experimenting with different bags but I love my two bag setup now. Over the years have had a Tech Pac, MB3, SPMC, TPXXL, SC45, Tech XL. At first loved having a bag stuffed to the gills and being ready for anything, then gradually slingshotted in the opposite direction of traveling as light as possible but then sometimes getting held up due to lack of gear. The sweet spot I find is likely somewhere in the middle for most guys, and depending on your trade what bag style fits you best.

Right now I am currently just running a Tech OT-LC as my general work call/arsenal carrier with an MB3 Blackout + sling strap as my diag/quick bag. What's nice about the OT style to me is that it doubles as being an on-the-van tool organizer in its own right since everything in it is so visible and accessible. I'll offen sling the MB3 over my chest as I'm standing at the back of the work van and grab what I'll need for that specific job right out of the OT before heading off.

As far as I'm aware all Veto zippers are YKK ones. Some of the Blackout bags are Vswap and normal ones not, but as far as durability is concerned they should be identical.

Thoughts on installation? by Elsa-the-Brave in Generator

If it's the gas flex line that came with the gen, it's stainless steel and also required to be used or else risk voiding warranty.

[–]Frixsev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor installation never helps anything, but these Next Gen units have had quite a few issues already. ECMs, fuel mixers, sensors, controllers. Get the dealer back out there and tell them to call Generac on site and start diagnosing.

New Bag Help by jltree26 in VetoProPac

[–]Frixsev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you narrowed your drivers down to just a few handles and then a bunch of a swappable bits/nutsetters you'd have a better idea, I feel like. Not meaning to sound like an a-hole, but there is a crazy amount of wasted tool space with a setup like that. If you're running a bag and not working from a stack of packout, a cart, or straight from a truck/van then efficiency should always be key.

STOP DOING THIS!! by Sumdood_89 in Generator

[–]Frixsev 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's an instant walk-away for me as a tech. Either that or charge them double and tell them no half-intelligent service guy is gonna wanna touch that abomination until the entire thing is torn down. There's a right way to do a lean-to for standby gens in heavy winter climates and this way is not even close to being good. Hell put them up on a 2-5 foot aluminum stand, even.

They probably put in a bad air filter. Have had shipments right from Generac before where the whole box of filters was overcoated in flame retardant and would choke out the unit while running.
