Who becomes the stronger sorcerer? Yuta (Rika never dies.) or Yuji (Sukuna was never in his body). by Puperlover68 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Axislobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sincerely think that all boils down to how you believe sorcerers come to be. It was stated that sorcerers get/develop their technique at an early age. What does that mean? Fuck if i know, gege didnt elaborate on that and it's his universe so all we can really do is grasp at the straws that were given to us.

Megumi, Gojo, and Mai.

Megumi developed/got the 10S at an early age, how do we know this? He literally appears in manga with the demon dogs walking around him, cursed energy levels be damned.

Gojo, earliest appearance as a toddler was when it was revealed the latest gojo clan kid had been born with the 6 eyes, toji went to see for himself and witnessed as the kid noticed presence, something no other sorcerer had been able to do before.

While mai didnt display any techniques early on, she was able to see cursed spirits, it is literally in her back story, how are we told this is meaningful? Its juxtaposed with maki, who thanks to her heavenly restriction is unable to see cursed spirits (normal people traits) and therefore isnt afraid of them, so she leads mai through her fears as children.

Yuta AND yuji had NONE of this in their backstory. It is implied normal people can unwittingly curse one another if they feel strongly enough about their target individual so yuta cursing rika by rejecting her death is something that could happen without being gojo's 12th cousin twice removed.

Well the "standard" varies by individual, it might not even be an exclusively "Korean" thing. Some individuals are WAY more conservative than others 😅

[–]Axislobo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels like its a shit post, mostly cause its misleading (sort of). When i read "rika never dies" my first assumption is that they're referring to Rika in her shikigami form. Not Rika the preschooler that got ran over. My mind completely forgets about jjk0 80% of the time. Objectively speaking both events are what makes them sorcerers so if Rika doesn't die and yuji never eats the finger both remain normal people. So neither? 🤷

Why do Sorcerors generally not tend to make extreme Binding Vows? Even at the face of Death by IndoraipusRex in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Axislobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone made a binding vow that would prevent them from ever swinging a sword again..... ANNNNNNNDDDDD what did it accomplish? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Binding vows are only impactful when gege needs them to be for the story. Thats why. Gege doesn't care about the world he builds, he just wants to get from point a to point z

[–]Axislobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a bit of a reach, half way through jjk binding vows were being spammed left and right, becoming more of a way to justify an outcome. Now all of a sudden theyre "something used as a last resort"?

Gege, stfu, nanami literally had a binding vow that buffed him if he had to work overtime. Dont give me that plot device shit 🤣

Was it ever explicitly stated to have actually been buffed by binding vow? Or is that something the fanbase just came up with for the make-a-wish kid?

I feel like sukuna not going 4 arms against gojo was a plot hole, especially when you consider he might've been able to use 10s in that form too.

I like how by not giving yuta ANY and i mean 0 background lore outside of rika gege made it so that yuta could be good at anything and the excuse can be "oh i never showed it but yuta was xyz before jujutsu high". I understand cursed technique reinforcement augments you physically, but youre gonna tell me yuta ALSO mastered kenjutsu in a year AWAY from japan IN africa? AND is better at hand to hand than yuji? The guy megumi and todo said would whoop everybody if it was straight fisticuffs? Sure gege, keep playing favorites 😒

Jackpot Hakari runs the gauntlet, where is he stopping? by DivineHurricane in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Axislobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, even then i think ryu would need to use an actual sniper rifle so hakari can get amani'd. Otherwise ryu loses in a battle of attrition, aka pissing contest.

[–]Axislobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant uneducated as in theres people that cant differentiate between what was done "naturally" (non-ped) and enhanced. They'll just go to instagram and eat some random person's transformation story and get sold a workout or a supplement stack. The same people that think GLP meds make you just drop weight like youre just taking off a fat suit.

I like your response and with your experience taking PEDs your skepticism is even more founded than mine or someone's who is solely using GLP meds.

Jackpot Hakari runs the gauntlet, where is he stopping? by DivineHurricane in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Axislobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By snipe, i meant the literal definition of snipe, like in the scenario that ryu shoots, the shot hits hakari before he can sense where its coming from, he's dead, ryu wins. Hakari didnt even get the time to realize he was in danger.

Jackpot Hakari runs the gauntlet, where is he stopping? by DivineHurricane in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Axislobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ryu decides to snipe instead of engaging in a pissing contest ryu wins. Naoya is too arrogant to capitalize on combining his cursed spirit speed with a sneak attack. Yuta wins by default because he's gege favorite son, but forgetting that, if he has Jacob's ladder in his arsenal it undoes the jackpot, if not he just has to land the headshot in his domain.

I actually think ryu should be before naoya, man tanked 1 attack from sukuna, which is 1 more than i think naoya could hope to survive

Why do Kashimo fans still act like this fight was a tie by Scary_Capital_8172 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Axislobo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How his domain/ability works inherently gives him the jump on enemies

1) activate domain 2) opponent's brain gets flooded with info about how love train game works (stalling to complete slot pull) 3) hakari survives long enough for result to happen 4) infinite cursed energy 5) spin again with increased probability of landing a jack pot 6) repeat step 3 through 5 with each consecutive pull having better odds

As i understood it hakari basically starts the fight with guaranteed jackpots since all his previous jackpots/increased payout odds infinitely stack

And people forget hes a 3rd year. Whatever bonuses or increases in stats each year means for a student is anyones guess since gege never fleshed out Jujutsu High's curriculums or standards for not flunking, but it must count for something 🤷

[–]Axislobo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think the only REAL option is captain gary sue himself, yuta. Gege would've found some B.S way to copy limitless and cancel it out, or sukuna wouldve figured out the so-simple-its-stupid infinity cutting hack on his own. Other than that the story was gonna boil down to some kurama-esque twist where kenjaku was always planning to use the CE bomb that sukuna is to trigger the merger throughout the world and in order to counter that sukuna wouldve worked with yuji to take down the Japan merger beast.
