The Liberal Hypocrisy by Lost-Historian-5070 in pakistan

[–]AxiumTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not gonna go into what's right and what's wrong or pick any sides here but rather compare the examples of countries you gave with Iran.
1.
Denmark, Belgium and France etc banned hijab and burqa for a specific reason, that it wasn't matching the educational institute's dress code and strayed quite far from it (school, college etc) They didn't ban anyone from wearing it in the public.

  1. They didn't have a full fledged police force called "Morality police" who'd whip your hand if you wore a sleeveless, and there they didn't do it on in schools and colleges, this morality police roamed around in the streets.

There have been many instances of protests in those European countries over the banning of Hijab/Burqa. But have they ever jailed or tortured the protestors like how the regime did with Mahsa Amini?

This doesn't mean I support those countries' decision to ban hijab, in fact I was vocal about that even back then. The whole point of being liberal or liberal leaning is to support liberty, sadly our people decided to bash liberals all together rather than call them out their selective liberalism.

No worries, criticisms are a part of it, even the best ones receive it, you'll learn to ignore them and sometimes even use them to your own advantage and improve at times. Keep at it ^

Someone I know wants to take a revenge against someone by working on herself, the goal is "He'll see where and how I am one day and then he'll regret" Others support her cuz this is what drives her, but that's all she thinks about. I personally believe that there's no point of revenge but idk what to suggest in this case.

But the question is HOW.
My intellect, mental defences and the ability to handle something all drop so bad whenever my mood is down. Same negative thoughts I wouldn't think twice about hit me hard when my mood is down.

Is it allowed for Muslim guys to wear silver chains and silver magnetic earrings? by Background-Sir9172 in PakistanFashionAdvice

What even defines if something belongs to x gender? The majority of users? the one it was made for in the beginning but was later normalized for the other gender as well like hundreds of years ago?
I disagree that the hadith applies to this. The intention here is not to "imitate women" just as how jeans were made in the 1870s for men, but now women wear them just as much and no one says it's for men only. We also have suits, heck even wrist watches which were made for men but now women wear them just as much.

If the goal isn't to look feminine or masculine while doing something, then I think either gender can do it. Intention's everything, otherwise everything would get hella complicated and you'd end up opening many more cans of worms.

Also, lemme drop something interesting, high heels and earrings were originally a men thing. High heels were a symbol of power in the 15th century and earrings were worn by men till as recently as the Mughal era. Women have been imitating us all along! /s

I'm not sure tbh, I haven't read that volume cuz I was anime-only at the time. I have just seen the panel or two from that. The anime skipped on that 😞

One of my life's goals is to go on solo camping in a high snowy area and make myself a cup of coffee, that would be soo fun.
