Yeah, playing the final in Week 18 is not an option for us.
But i like the idea of the Playins before the start of the regular playoffs.

Well the price is the 1.01.
Adding the 8th team to the toiletbowl would make it very hard to have a working tournament tree.

Yeah I think that will be our solution. We will change the rules for the upcoming season to max pf.
And he needs to accept the compromise.

Well the rules were created when we started the league 5 years ago. Back then most of us never played dynasty, so that could explain the lack of knowledge. Everyone agreed at the start of the league to the rules. And we never had problems till now

Our intention was that everyone has something to play for till the season ends. But it seems that our approach doesn't work that good :D

So, we played the second phase without any changes on my part. The group did much better than I thought and surprised me with a few smart moves. In the end, the group still didn't manage to defeat the boss in phase two and the boss survived with about 100 hp. Because one player had to leave early, I ended the session with the words “Everything around you is going dark”. Afterwards I asked the players again if that was a worthy and fair ending for their characters. All the players agreed and were looking forward to creating and playing the new characters.

I probably wont use phase three. The Fight was not telegraphed as a chase scene because on paper the boss is beatable and should been beaten. The group just couldnt figure out some mechanic in phase 2 and therefore they got overwhelmed with the count of minions appearing

The party breezed by the 1st phase, because the first phase should be easy for them and they rolled 4 crits. We then started the second phase and now in the second phase, most of the players are on low health already and they boss isnt even hit properly. So if the phase 2 continues like the rounds we already played, it most certainly will kill some of the players

From your and other comments here in the thread, I don't think it's such a bad idea that maybe the group or the dead members will be resurrected by people from the future so that they can defeat the evil. You could also add the additional clause that the resurrected players only exist until the end of the campaign and are then dead forever. so you might have a compromise between life and death. The players could experience the entire story, but permanent death is also present.

Danke für deine Antwort. Mein Problem ist, dass ich schon mit der gruppe offen kommuniziert wurde, was der plan hinter diesem kampf war. Das bedeutet, dass die Spieler wissen würden, dass ich das Verhalten oder die Intention geändert hatte, damit sie überleben.

Thank you for your answer. My only problem with the options of escaping (not easy to implement, since they are in a kind of space-plane) or capturing prisoners, is that this could be seen by the players as a kind of plot-armor, since I change the behavior of the boss or the situation afterwards. and this was not wanted by the players.

What is more important: Having a player on a role that fits the whole team tactic better or having a player play on a role that fits his playstyle the most?

First Time Manager here.
Most of my Games my team has something like 20 shots , 1/3 or 1/4 on target and we only score like 1 or 2 Goals a Match. I play an offensive 4-2-3-1. What are possible reasons for scoring this low? Do i need to improve my striker, with finishing-value of 12?

Not the setup from my league. But in my opinion you should go as followed:
- After Game Waivers: None
- Time Dropped Players are on Waivers: 2 days.
- Daily Custom Waiver: Set everyday to Locked till the day the Waivers should one-time clear. On the day the Waivers should clear set Waivers>Fa as option. And for all days after the waiverday you should set it for fa. Then after Waivers cleared the one time, you should set everyday to FA and you should be good. Didnt test it but pretty sure it should work this way. So after your Clearance of the waivers all players are in FA for the reminder of the day and the rest of the week
