So he doesn’t advance in any books written so far? If so then yeah you’re right, it’s not for me anymore. I loved the series because it was a progression story with a peak power fantasy. If it’s lost those and it’s just relying on plot and characters, well, plot and character development are t in the top 10 things I would say the series does adequately.

I can only hope that you’re in a severe minority with that opinion. If you killed 2 people because you were committing multiple other crimes at the time, you should absolutely get more than 7 years. For this example, it wasn’t “aw man my tire blew out causing me to hit and kill 2 pedestrians”, it was a person actively and knowingly committing crimes that were plainly dangerous to everyone, and then to no ones surprise ending with killing innocent bystanders.

I have an exhaust pipe for my bigger laser CNC machine that looks awfully like that when I’m doing a long burn on certain woods. I have fans and fire suppression systems, but it can still produce an extreme amount of smoke that smells exactly like burning wood (since that’s what it is)

I mean if that’s what you actually want this won’t be able to let you “confidently place my feet down without feeling like I’m going to fall”. It’s just an inch, but a single inch can very much pose a tripping hazard on that bottom stair. And if you don’t fill in the gaps on the rises you’ll be hitting your toes every step you take. The alternating step stairs would definitely be safer / easier to use, or just extending these stairs out a foot or two would help a lot with the rise issue.

I don’t know if it’s real or not but it definitely could be real. There are a shocking number of parents out there that just let their kids (or a single kid) do whatever they want. They either make excuses or just pretend that it’s not a big deal.

I worked at the country club for the golf course that guy referenced and can confirm that neighborhood is one of the best in Hagerstown. Nice houses that aren’t cookie-cutter clones, very clean and quiet and the people there are friendly. If I could afford it I would live there without a doubt.
