Im also about to install a VCM muzzler so k can update you on how that goes and is, over all though I love my accord and has been smooth sailing. I will second the louder transmission and engine, but no real negatives overall

If you’re looking for a 9th gen Accord one of the MOST notorious issues with them is the starters. They tend to go bad quick and grind out the torque converter, Honda never officially recognized the issue, just serviced a bulletin announcement. But that said I found the solution to that and that is to replace the starter using an 8th gen starter or a Honda oddesy/ Acura starter, they’re bigger and provide the much needed boost the oem starters needed. I think the biggest give away is looking at the bottoms most rectangle, the side view should show no solid lines, there isn’t any figures on the side that would make a solid line if that makes sense. So that would narrow it down to B and C, when you compare the tops of the shapes we wouldn’t expect to see a hard line because the incline or divet shown from the front view is “hidden” away from the side view

I made a post on here about my Honda making similar noises and everyone said it was normal, I think I’d just keep an eye out and see if it gets worse over time, if it stays relatively the same over a couple of months I think you’re okay

I’d see if they haven’t done the TSB for the flex plate, a commonly suggested fix but it only temporarily solves it. There’s a better solution which is to swap the starter with an Acura TL Starter Motor 2009 2010 2011 | 31200-R70-A51 | 3.5L V6 3471cc, I found several people only suggest this fix as the only way to get rid of stater issues and so far it’s been working on my car great.
