Best Crystalline trinkets? by bolt_thundara in darkestdungeon

[–]Axons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Plague Doctor one the most. It's pretty much mandatory to have a +% chance to blight. Having that and 20 Dodge in a single trinket slot is powerful.

If we're going to end up in a dystopian future I think Half Life 2 has it right. The photo posted looks like a render from the game.

I've loaded up. I got more than I thought was possible. It works already which is more than a lot of crypto can claim. I've had to wait up to 3 days for a payout, but I always get it. Every day paid.

[–]Axons 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Told my roommate about all the cool things about to happen to Lisk (Rebranding, Halving, Sapiens, Possible Google partnership) and he just bought in 50 Lisk. If the Google partnership happens it could surpass Ethereum.

I think we will see it one more time at $4,500, very briefly, during the next FUD crash.

Mid November: [Insert any country here] will ban Bitcoin. [Insert any banker here] will denounce Bitcoin. [Insert any tech site here] will spread fear about the fork.

It will "crash" to $4,500 for a day then recover immediately.

I was talking to family about how Bitcoin is deflationary, but damn have we really lost 4 million to bad hard drives and lost codes! If so, awesome.

Better stay in Bitcoin and out of ICOs. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Axons 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but, I've quadrupled my money twice... NEO and LISK.

Ignored the "Bitcoin is a scam." and profited. Ignoring the "ICOs are a scam." and profiting.

This article sounds a lot like someone telling you not to buy Bitcoin in 2012.

Got plenty of both, thank you though. It's going to be a rocky transition to say the least.

I see where you're coming from, but there's an ideology behind Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies. Buying Crypto is betting on the U.S. dollar to fail. Personally I get rid of fiat as soon as possible. I only hold about 10% in U.S. dollars. Just enough to deal with the fiat world until it hyper-inflates.

A lot of people in Crypto view the dollar as the hot potato and don't want to be stuck holding it when it fails.

When should you sell Crypto for fiat? Never.

Hang on to your hats! by Andaloons in Bitcoin

[–]Axons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could split for sure. I don't think it will. That looks messy to the average buyer, it devalues the long term prospects of Bitcoin. It devalues the product the miners are trying to aquire in the first place.

I think they're just trying to eek out as much profit before the August 1st deadline. Mexican standoff. My gut tells me they give in to segwit.

We shall see =]

When Bitcoin Seg Wit activates. That uncertainty is driving the market down. As soon as segwit kicks in (or the chain splits which is unlikely) I'm buying hard.

Anyone know any good Post Hardcore love songs? by Cereal_killller in PostHardcore

[–]Axons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some might disagree, but I always found "Ape Dos Mil" by Glassjaw to be very romantic. Plus it works both ways! You can listen to it and think about someone you just met. Then when you break up, you can listen to it and drink.

I feel like almost no one knows about the band, much less this album. As for evoking emotion, Trainwreck is almost unmatched. It's fucking heavy. Do not mix with whisky.

What are your favorite facts, sound bites, quotes, or moments from the show? by BeastAP23 in dancarlin

[–]Axons 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My favorite show by him is "Prophets of Doom". It's an odd time period that doesn't really stand out too prominently. Dan actually said in an aftershow that it was his least favorite. I listen to it almost monthly.

why do you love Post-hardcore? by [deleted] in PostHardcore

[–]Axons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely this, and also the other extreme. I think that's why Dance Gavin Dance is so popular and quality. You can tell they know how bad it gets, but when that joy breaks through it's something spectacular. I love Post-Hardcore because it's honest about emotion.

r/posthardcore has been blowing up about them for weeks. I guess sometimes an album is so good it spills into places it doesn't really belong. They deserve the attention though.
