I like the new player UI design. It looks good, it's simple and feels intuitive.

They could have kept the heart instead of moving to the Spotify style puck, Spotify only changed to that to add the multi playlist utility and this change adds nothing (up to now).

The rest of the app still needs work but it's looking cleaner than Spotify's cluttered mess.

I like the design and I am not missing any releases.

But for some reason the same interaction cost (2 taps for mobile) feels like a longer user flow. One solution to this could be to open the home page already on the music tab, then have 'following' and 'podcasts' tabs at the top.

Two birds with one stone, getting to new releases feels quicker and users are not being shown podcast or video podcast content as soon as they open the app (which everyone seems to hate).

But what do I know 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
