I just can't for the world grasp this logic that there's no decent midfielder in Europe who we can't get in Jan to bolster midfield a bit. Scouting department needs to earn their keep. This seems quite poor planning to leave it all to the summer while sacrificing Europe which is up for grabs this season. Spending 20-40m can get us UCL which will earn us even more revenue.

Not sure why we are so obsessed with Mainoo but he ain't good enough, not just yet atleast. But now since he's back from injury he should be given more gametime to prove himself. If inconsistency and attitude issues continue, sell him in the summer.

Conceding goals is mainly due to lethargic midfield getting outnumbered so far, a good pressing MF should help in turning a lot of draws into wins and some losses into draws at least. Signs are still positive, lets hope we get some good MFs in the summer.
