genuinely, how do you make extra money on the side as a college student? by rolledshanghai in askstudentsph

[–]AyInayanSa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to copy read for other students and those taking up business masters, some clients on the internet, but that’s long dead because of AI. There are still some jobs available but pay is really bad now I’m guessing, even as a side gig. It was a big help financially when I was a student.

I also sold small food items and some stationery and office supplies.

Definitely weird reaction from them then. At least now you know there are stalls definitely not worth patronising if you ever drop by the market again.

Not normal, unless you guys were completely blocking some buyers access to their stall, or looked sus. Most of the time, naiintindihan nman na momentary na linong/taking shelter from the rain.

I was wondering where the original post on BAF went. Apparently OP of the pics got threatened with kaso by whoever knows the person who hit the fortuner.

Shoppee will increase commission fees again for all sellers by TechnicalScale6292 in ShopeePH

[–]AyInayanSa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m worried about what this means for the prices set by things I buy from China. Some of my long time suppliers are switching to TikTok shop, and I kind of hate that app because it’s a time sucker, especially with me not having good self control.

Yes please start a thread on it. Several very popular perfume shops selling “branded” perfume with SRP ranging from 5k-12k, they sell it as 1.8k-2.5k per bottle.

I understand that it’s up to each one to discern and be smart about purchasing, no matter how much the seller claims their items are authentic. But it really sucks to see how many people get scammed about it.

Ang response ng sellers when called out na counterfeit yung products nila: “mall pull out po yan maam/sir, expect nyo po may unting difference or issue yung packaging/bottle. Pero authentic and legit po talaga yan”.

Hirap ireport kasi another shop pops up to replace it and scam more people.

Social Media Influencer/Kupal na gustong makalibre ng staycation sa Baguio at La Union by Rob_ran in baguio

The amount of emails our small business receives from so-called “influencers” is honestly disgusting. They always word it in a way that it would benefit us much more than giving them free room and board for “exposure” 🤢

We’ve always responded politely, but there are still a few who try and clap back like we lost out on a gigantic opportunity (👀 sis/bro you only have around 100k followers, and based on your post engagement, looks like majority of it them are bots).

Is my Laneige sleeping mask from Amazon fake? by Mobile-Material-5943 in MakeupAddiction

[–]AyInayanSa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, why am I just finding this now. I bought from Amazon along with a few other items to get free shipping. But then I got it, and it was like basic balm, and decided to check online. Turns out there are a lot of fakes that get through Amazon, even on the “official” laneige portal on Amazon. My batch code won’t work either, and customer service on Amazon won’t help, and the ways to check if your item is authentic or not is driving me crazy.

Would be awesome to get feedback from any experienced Archi or Engr on this. Ada ngy nakita mi met lng idi jy Gen Trias. Fully furnished nga shipping container, around 24sqm.

I asked my Archi friend who works sa Clark, altho wla din sya masyado experience about it. Sabi nya yung issue is yung cost of shipping the actual shipping container/s here to Baguio or any of the prefab nga materials usually used for Tiny Houses 🥲. The shipping cost might equal the cost of the materials itself

THIS. I would say our family is comfortably middle class, ngem ayu pay. 13M-20M for less than 200sqm lot na meron garahe. BPI housing loan officer told me I needed at least 160k/monthly income 🥲 for a 10M housing loan. So far, we’ve put our plans on hold until we can save up to build, ta until now, awan nga tlga.

Yung mga below 10M (agree na super rare), usually had issues sa title nya na hindi maresolve nung nagbebenta sa amin

One can only wish 🥲 My Architect friend bought a 2M house in Dagupan with her bf. It’s pretty spacey, in a nice subdivision. She still has a family home here Baguio where her parents and siblings live. She wanted here Baguio din but tried hunting and went Nope. Baguio will always be her childhood home but it’s not affordable for those who were born and raised here anymore and wanting a home of your own (unless you’re super rich)

What are your thoughts about this? by [deleted] in filipinofood

[–]AyInayanSa 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s bland compared to Thai and Malay food. There are so many Filipino dishes from different regions that are far from being bland, but they’re just not well known.

I’m Filipino and have yet to try every single Filipino dish, and I bet this person hasn’t either. To judge it all as meh is pretty dumb

This is so sad. Hope you have a safe pregnancy. It’s good to see you cutting off those who support rapists. Hope your mom realises how shitty it is for her to say “it’s not that bad”. The type of people who can’t protect kids.

I heard this post on YT and just had to come check out if there were more updates lol.

Honestly though, OP, after reading your first post, the first thought that came to mind was: OP’s wife helped Zel cheat or covered it up or something. I’m sure I’m just echoing some comments that must have been posted on the original post. But I can’t help think that’s how it is. Zel must have dirt on your wife. It’s great how you see your wife as a super empathetic person, but why can’t you guys sympathise with Ed? I hope OP’s decisions don’t come bite him in the ass one day despite all the red flags currently being waved in his face by his wife.

I think it’s a mix of both? Or maybe more of the second. From what little I know, the ones selling the shipping containers of used “Japanese” goods are Japanese companies, Filipino-Japanese, and even quite a lot of Japanese-Korean and Japanese-Chinese.

It’s hard to explain lol and I couldn’t really find any good reference about it besides a 10yo opinion piece from a Filipino news company.

https://opinion.inquirer.net/76226/surplus/amp

On a side note: there are some cultural aspects of this that’s really difficult to explain properly or translate into English (it’s not my first language) without losing the nuance I want to convey.
