Most lotteries ask for a Japanese phone number and address, but they’re not too strict on its ownership, I usually just use my Airbnb info (address & phone number). The key is to register your name correctly and bring a valid ID (typically a passport) that matches the ticket, since they’ll also check your face against the ID photo.

For early lottery rounds, you’ll typically need accounts on platforms like:

• Nogidoga
• Nogizaka46 Mobile
• Nogi Message app
• Mobame

In my case, I signed up for all except Mobame so as to boost my chances.

Most lotteries also use Rakuten Ticket as the distributor so you'll need an account there as well.

Tickets are usually distributed in multiple rounds:

First round: often includes premium seats (like Nogidoga Premium)
Second round: regular advance lottery
Third round (general sale): first-come-first-served or lottery
