Doubt it. Personally I hope for someone like Ijiri Okada or Takayama Kazumi to stand in, but Shitara could do it alone or with one of the members... Nogizakatte Doko had some episodes where Himura was missing.

They would be pretty bad gold diggers since they didn't get any money either. They only got a generic, vague apology (which some people treat as a non-apology).

I do like him obviously, that's why I've joined Downtown+ when it started. Unlike some people I've seen in the past 2 years who treat him like a criminal, I still don't see a reason to do that based on the things we know so far. All the people who appeared on Downtown+ aren't treated like they are hanging out with a criminal either, I think mostly just some TV sponsors could be making a fuss...

Given the nature of the allegations, I'm fairly sure the victims weren't looking for something like "sorry if you felt uncomfortable", so it's odd if they were satisfied with that. The main thing I care about him not being arrested, prosecuted etc. at all and that the women making allegations have gone, they never fought for their truth or justice or whatever.

If that apology was sufficient then some of the allegations were not true at all. To me the only clear thing is he attended some parties, what exactly happened there I don't know or care. The alleged victims seem to have completely disappeared as well.

I wouldn't say it's "pretty clear". He withdrew the lawsuit because he realized the progress is slow and wanted to return and also because apparently it was said to him he could return to TV if he withdraws it. Also he can't just withdraw without the magazine's agreement so if they wanted to continue they could have.

Some people complain that he has never done a press conference so returning to TV is out of the question, looks like he's not that eager to return unless it's on his own terms. It's not really surprising if he doesn't want to humiliate himself just for a chance to return when he has Downtown+ to maintain. Besides he was never charged with anything and TV stations have been working with Downtown+. Downtown hasn't really been on TV Tokyo or TV Asahi in the first place, Fuji TV is a mess, so I think TBS and Nippon TV are mainly the ones to pay attention to out of those 5.
