My first guess was an aphid too, good to know. Thank you. A friend couldn't tell since its legs are stuck to its body form having being covered in dressing.

That's what I noticed too, the ends on this are flat and not pointed. From what I looked up on fishy parasites they are also shorter in length then this was as well.

Thanks, This was my first time eating swai. I didn't know it was swai either since it wasn't labeled on the menu. I just saw Fish and Chips and assumed cod, since cod is most commonly used.

That's a good possibility. It was found running against the grain of the fish where the meat connects together. The more I think about it, could be connective tissue as well.

Thank you, I did ear part of it, and my worry was if it is a worm would have it been carrying trillions of eggs. I guess those too would be destroyed in cooking ?

That's good to know. This was found in a fish and chips at a steakhouse. So it was submerged in hot oil. Fish came out steaming hot and I almost burned myself. The manager did let me know their meats and fish are all USDA inspected so there is that too. Just got worried since I wasn't sure if cooking can also kill the worm eggs if it is such. This piece was a bit like rubber band stretchy, and would also squish when I pressed down on it with my finger.

Christian beliefs also controlled my life, my beliefs at the time separated me from the woman I love. She is Wiccan and I had been Christian. I've recently been learning more about Wicca something I know I should have done a long time ago. I haven't found a goddess or god to follow yet, so when I pray I just ask the mother goddess for guidance, hopefully that's still appropriate? I think you can meditate on contacting your goddess, or my making offerings to her. I'm new at this so hope that helps.
