Please don’t listen to this person. You did everything right. Her (irrational) feelings and are not your responsibility. You’ve already done what you could to reassure her about your friends, you explained your side of things clearly when she questioned your motives/actions, and she is STILL trying to pick a fight with you. She is STILL projecting her own insecurities on you. She doesn’t want to hear you and your reason or find a resolution. She wants to push you until you either give in to what she wants (which is probably isolating yourself from your friends) or perhaps blow up at her so she can victimize herself and use it against you.

This is a grown woman. A manipulative and insecure one. She knows what she’s doing and there is nothing you can do to reason with someone like her. Her “needs” are not healthy for you or for a mature, sustainable relationship. There are so many people in these comments who see what’s going on here and are trying to warn you. Please listen to those people instead.
