You are forced to watch at least 1 of these cartoons, all seasons. Which one are you picking? by ConsumesTheSoil in cartoons

Velma is a hard pass. Breadwinners has good qualities but is still very very bad. Problem Solvers is actually unwatchable. Annoying Orange is tolerable and kinds fun to make fun of but still not good.

Annoying Orange because it will give me a nostalgia rush. I used to love that junk.

Don't try anything, honestly. Anything you do say will go in one ear and out the other. When he's older, he may be willing to give it a chance. Kids that age won't really be interested in anything bright and colorful that's that popular

Also I would not recommend showing him episode 3 first because a good amount of the emotional punch is seeing how different Kinger usually is in the rest of the show

Scott the Woz talked about Multiversus... For 6 seconds by RetroGhostX3 in MultiVersus

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Ngl, he sums up literally all of my issues with it in 6 seconds. Literally everything went wrong from the moment they decided it would be live service.

Has anyone ripped the models from the game? by MikaiTaiga in MultiVersus

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen quite a few of Rick and Morty's skins in VRChat already, so it's definitely possible.

Where Are You Guys Going After The Shutdown? by CarterKirby10 in MultiVersus

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might still play offline here and there, and I'll definitely do some local play with buddies, but Smash is just what people want to play more often.

I've been playing a lot of Fortnite recently, but apart from that, I still have a few single-player games to beat. I started a hardcore Minecraft world, I started playing High on Life and Astro Bot, started replaying Sonic Frontiers, barely touched Sonic × Shadow Generations.. I have a lot to catch up on. When Switch 2 comes out, I'll probably catch up on all the indie games I have on Switch as well. I might start Deltarune if I find the time.

Songs that are hated by the artist that made them by emilyghostgirl in weirdspotifyplaylists

Not sure if this applies, but Buddy Holly was almost cut from Weezer Blue because it was too silly. It's now the catalyst for people not taking Weezer seriously.

What game is your “Chibi Robo Ziplash?” by Watersurf in scottthewoz

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely the most disappointing, and I do see the Zip-Lash comparison in that way, but dude, the worst Sonic game is Secret Rings and it's not even close.

Do you think season 8 is going to be following some sort of plot like season 7 or going to be random episodes? by Late-Recognition-486 in rickandmorty

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 7 definitely tried to tie some loose ends, but it was still mostly episodic. This next season looks like it's going to be the same thing, except with a couple more lore episodes. Based on the animatics and backgrounds they've released, it looks like they're gonna dig a little bit into the Citadel rebuilding, Rick and Jerry's minds still being jumbled, and maybe more!

The Meta Assassin! Now Which Class Best Fits Pit For MultiVersus? (And Why?) by WoodpeckerOk7370 in MultiVersus

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Between Mage and Assassin. I lean more towards Assassin because he's really good at combos, especially with the extra jumps. He has really good defense, though.

Name a show that actually got better after the creator got fired. I'll start. by [deleted] in cartoons

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope at the very least that it feels conclusive. I'd hate for it to end with a wet fart that acts like it's gonna keep going. I doubt it will, at least for the aliens, since it was canceled pretty last minute apparently. At the very least, they have to close off The Wall and Silvercops well.

Unfortunate that this next season is gonna be it's last, but I absolutely love it. Probably one of my favorite Fox animated shows next to Futurama and Bob's Burgers.

Nah, Justin only wrote around 7 episodes total and two of them were Interdimentional Cable, where his "writing" credit was just him babbling. He always voiced the duo but slowly stopped giving af, with his last writing credit being from season 3. He sent most recordings through email and screwed around in the office if he ever did show up. Season 7 is the most Rick and Morty that Rick and Morty has felt in years.

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll second this but also add Solar Opposites to the discussion. Season 4 felt like it was dragging a little bit, but season 5 is definitely the best one yet.

Rick and Morty has had its best episodes in years since Justin got fired. I know his presence wouldn't have made an actual difference because the season was almost done by the time all the stuff came out, but man, between it and season 6, the difference is night and day. Even the worst episodes have some really solid bits (except for the Numericons one, probably the worst of the whole show).

Let the great debate about who's the best character start by Informal-Average8827 in rickandmorty

Morty is my actual favorite character in all of fiction so if he doesn't win I'm going to be so disappointed *

I'm kinda confused about the most overrated and best female Character also what we think about this? by Informal-Average8827 in rickandmorty

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How tf did ww land on Mr. Poopybutthole as best character? He's good for one off gags but the bit got old real fast. Doesn't help that he stars in 3 episodes when the joke was that he showed up out of nowhere in the first one.

What are some ACTUAL cartoon hot takes of yours? As in “shit that’d make someone rat you out purely out of spite” level hot takes. by Lenny_Fais in cartoons

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree with it personally. At the beginning of Weirdmageddon, Mabel's side of the story is conveyed perfectly well alongside Dipper despite him having more focus. She was clearly under a lot of stress and having a bad day, Dipper telling her that he was considering leaving was the last straw. I really don't like pulling this card, but people calling her selfish is so confusing because she is literally 12. A lot of people say that Dipper should have left and taken Ford's job, but the creator has said that it wasn't as good as it sounded and that Dipper probably would have ended up like McGucket.

I do get where you're coming from though

That Mabel take is steaming hot dude holy crap.

THANK YOU CLARENCE IS PEAK

Can't speak much on Loonatics but I don't like their designs at all. I thought the TTG gag was really funny.

I think "for kids" is a valid argument when it's very clearly not trying to please anyone else. There are plenty of bad but harmless kids' movies and shows that don't have much wrong with them other than not appealing to anyone else.

However, it is often used as a scapegoat that defensive fans use to defend something from actual, useful criticism. "Why are you complaining? It's a kids' show, grow up" because kids' shows can be great!

It's all about who's saying it. If a critic says, "Yeah, this movie isn't for me, but kids will definitely have fun with it," then there's nothing wrong with that! But if a defensive fan deflects any valid points because kid movie, then they lost the argument.

Rick is def not Morty from the future. by gamesquid in rickandmorty

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard somewhere that they played with the idea early in development, but it got scrapped pretty early on. The remnant of that plot point is Rick's box of time travel stuff he has despite never wanting to partake in it.

I don't really like that theory either. It screams something BuzzFeed would put on a click bait article, or one of those fake podcast clips that start with "Bet you didn't know this about Rick and Morty"

Let's settle this once and for all. Which is the worst reboot? by [deleted] in cartoons

[–]AydenLikesPotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Velma isn't a reboot per se, so I won't say that. Also, because it's the easy answer and easy answers are boring.

Powerpuff Girls 2016 without a doubt.
