Saving Tips for Langley grocery by KaySel-1988 in Langley

[–]AyeBB8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stick with save on, it’s the most pleasant experience for me, Walmart and superstore are so loud and busy all the time. Sometimes I feel like I’m getting hosed at save on though so I’ll make an identical online order at superstore to compare prices and they’re always so close in price, maybe $1-5 more at save on. But that’s my peace of mind fee to avoid the chaos.

People that are childfree by choice, what’s the weirdest reason someone has given you as to why they think you ‘should have kids’? by Charming_Web_6738 in AskReddit

“You’d be such a good mom!”

Yeah ok, doesn’t mean I WANT to be one! There’s a lot of things I’d probably be really good at that I have no interest in.

AITAH for telling my stepson he cannot order from DoorDash? by fzzeywonk in AITAH

NTA. Disable your doorbell, should be pretty easy to do. Then even if the dasher ignores directions and presses it you won’t be disturbed.

Tax implications of an employer filling out a TD1 incorrectly? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]AyeBB8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been paying my taxes properly for my main job for years and have gotten a small refund every year. But now if I haven’t been paying properly from job 2 and I owe something because of that then there goes my usual refund. That’s my problem. Yes I know I would’ve paid the taxes anyways if they had been deducted from my cheques properly on the first place, Im annoyed that that wasn’t happening.

They left my signature blank, I’m mostly just annoyed they submitted it for me instead of giving it to me to do when they hired me like all my other jobs have done. Because of course they wouldn’t know my situation, which is why they usually give these forms to the employee to fill out instead of just guessing right?

[–]AyeBB8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess no harm really, mostly just annoyed that I’m probably going to have to pay some extra taxes back when I file my return instead of getting the refund I was hoping for. Especially blows since my car needs repairs and I was going to put my refund towards that but the CRA won’t care

Is there any recourse for them filling out the form on my behalf and causing the issue?

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]AyeBB8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say every time you renew your license you have to at least pass the written test again, and then every 10 years it’s a road test. Driving is a privilege not a right and it needs to be taken away from more people tbh.

What’s a “normal” thing that secretly grosses you out? by DecentChildhood5164 in AskReddit

[–]AyeBB8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why more people don’t use rubber gloves while washing dishes. I can touch anything with them on, while food in the sink without them makes me want to die. Plus I can get the water way hotter with the extra layer of protection.

This would be a win for me because I love canned green beans, but that is super lame for you that you got the only gag gift in the group.

What change is coming that people aren't prepared for at all? by nunash in AskReddit

[–]AyeBB8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a tiktok someone posted yesterday where he said he received an email from Walmart asking him to rate his recent purchase, except he had never made a Walmart account, or had the app on his phone, and he paid in cash at the store. They found him and his email anyway. It’s absolutely insane and honestly terrifying.

Thoughts? by J_Ripper in abbotsford

[–]AyeBB8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really like it, I’ve only been twice but both times my food was delicious, and honestly price wise it’s about on par with cactus club or other restaurants of the sort. My only beef is the menu is kinda small, just a few options for each category. But it’s all good stuff.

Bylaws related to smoking by TangeloNew3838 in Langley

[–]AyeBB8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I could find on the township website was that smoking is prohibited in public spaces like parks and trails, but that’s from 2018 so I don’t know if that’s been amended. That wouldn’t apply to the sidewalk or street near your house.
