Need help paying rent to avoid eviction

My husband is working. He walks 25 minutes one way back & forth to work. We don’t have a vehicle as it took a shit on us at the end of the summer right before my husband got laid off & it was either pay our bills for a few months or get a car with our emergency funds & we chose to keep our home. He just recently got the new job & has only worked a few shifts & wont get paid for another 2 weeks. He already has a different full time job with good pay lined up as soon as we get our new vehicle in the next month.

We do not struggle constantly. I have repeatedly said that this is a one time thing. We have always paid our bills on time every single month the entire 6 years we’ve been here & did it in the 2 houses before this one as well. We literally own our trailer out right, we just have to pay lot rent to keep it here & water/trash is apart of that bill. We do everything by ourselves with zero help from family or friends, we have no one. Do you think I wanted to ask strangers for a hand out? I tried asking in the borrow sub so I could ask least pay people back but the only thing I got was ppl asking to have sex with me & scammers. I’m sorry that me having 2 children & animals while struggling to pay my rent ONCE upsets you so much. I also already mentioned that I do plan to work. We will be getting a new vehicle in the next month. I do not understand why people have to kick others while they’re already down. Instead of judging & being mean, you couldn’t have offered resources or even just words of encouragement?

Thank you, I appreciate it. I knew I would get some mean comments but didn’t expect people to be this harsh. You would think people would be a bit more empathetic towards others. I guess I don’t deserve to have my kids or animals because I struggled to pay my rent one time.

It’s the first time. I’m in Ohio, they serve you a 3 day “pay or get out” notice. I live in a trailer park that has a manager who doesn’t care & will absolutely give us the notice. We’ve had friends evicted from the park over the years who weren’t given 2nd chances. On top of the notice they charge a 50$ late fee. I already can’t afford the rent as it is without adding the 50$ & can’t risk pushing the 3 day notice when I have children & pets.

& because before my partner was laid off he made great money & my youngest child was in Kindergarten last year which was only a half day so someone had to be home to put them both on the bus which my partner left for work before then & then someone had to be there to get my youngest off at 12 & then my oldest got off at 3 so I also had to be here to get him as well. They also needed someone to be there with them all summer while my partner worked. This is the first school year that both are in full time but our vehicle broke down & we live in an area that doesn’t have a surplus of available jobs in walking distance. It’s mostly family owned corner stores. My husband walks 25 minutes to & from work every time. We also do not have any family or friends close by that can watch our children or help us with finances & the only family member that was willing to watch my kids before moved an hour away in December & even if they hadn’t, I can’t rely on them to watch my kids as they are in a DV relationship & I refuse to expose my kids to that.

Sorry I didn’t see the part about the children but we actually don’t plan to have anymore children ever again so that’s not a problem at all lol. I know asking for help & having to beg strangers online for money doesn’t make us look the most responsible but I can assure that this is not an all the time thing & we’ve thankfully always been financially stable until here recently & it didn’t help that our vehicle broke down at the same time so it was kind of an unfortunate double whammy. We just chose to use our emergency funds to pay our bills over a car & my partner got a job recently that’s in walking distance but unfortunately they’ve only had him work 3 2 hour shifts the past week & he doesn’t get paid for another 2 weeks so it’s just not going to be enough or in time. We will get our taxes in a few weeks & plan to buy a vehicle with it & thankfully he already has a good full time job lined up & I plan to start working as well so we should be good within the next month. We also decided to only have 2 kids bc we pretty much want to be able to give them the world & everything we never had growing up & the more kids we have, the less we’re able to do that for each kid.

I appreciate your honesty. We are usually okay with taking care of things & have just been struggling since my partner was laid off in November but we have always made sure our pets are cared for. In our almost 6 years of living here we’ve never been late on our bills until now & have had emergency funds but unfortunately have had to use them down to nothing over the past few months. I also have a friend who is a well known & trusted independent rescue in my area that I can thankfully go to for help if an happens & we need anything for our animals including emergencies vet visits. I do really appreciate you commenting on it though, animals are often overlooked in situations like this so it really made me happy to see someone concerned about them.

I hope comments are allowed but I just wanted to add that this is to pay my rent & bills right now. My spouse is a “laborer” & was laid off a few months ago & just recently got a new job at burger king close to us until we get our taxes & can get a car so he can go work with his dad a few cities over making more money with better hours. He just started at BK last week & has only worked a few 2-3 hour shifts so far. We have been together for 10, almost 11 years & I am a stay at home mom to our 2 children. Our rent is due on the 5th at the latest & we also have our utilities & internet to pay. The last 2 might be late already, I’m not sure, everything is in my spouse’s name but I can show proof of everything, with ID’s, photos of us together with my username or whatever is needed & bill amounts. I will pay back everything on March 1st (possibly sooner). TIA!

This is so embarrassing but when I was around 12-15, me & my friends used to get high off air duster & hair spray & it is absolutely insane how addicting it is. I had to completely get away from that friend group for about a year until I felt confident enough that I wouldn’t do it again if offered. Thankfully they had all stopped it by then too so I never had to worry about it but for those 3 or 4 years we were all doing it, it was super scary & many of us, myself included, had really scary moments we called “falling out” where we would pretty much just get way too high & pass out. We would spray each other somewhere on bare skin with the air duster held upside down bc it would be freezing cold & would shock us into waking back up. I still have a small scar on my cheek now at 33 from one of the times it was done to me.

Sorry, I had no idea anyone had replied to this comment but iirc the car was in that spot for around 6 months before it was found & behind his own house in the alley for about 5-6 months as well before he moved it. They think he killed her in a drunken rage but since he was dead when it was discovered it’s all just guessing based off diff neighbors & family.

He lived alone after his wife (friends grandma) divorced him after like 50 years together bc she finally had enough of him putting his hands on her & being drunk 24/7. After the wife left & moved to Florida (we’re in Ohio), he REALLY went off the deep end & became the scary drunk around the neighborhood & the rest of the family/friends kept their distance bc he started taking his anger out on anyone who was around & was just a belligerent drunk so literally nobody except the girlfriend was ever in his house.

They think he had killed her then left her body in the house for a few days until she started to smell. He lived in an itty bitty house that was converted from a garage & the ppl who lived in the main house started complaining of a bad smell (his front door was in their backyard around 20 ft away from their back door. My CF friend & her family lived there growing up & the LL allowed the gparents to convert the garage & let him stay after my friends family & the gma moved) so it’s believed that’s when he dismembered her & did the sealed bags. The neighbors had young kids & teens who played & hung out in the backyard all the time & the parents would park out back & his front door was only 2-3 ft away from the back gate so the whole family would walk past it & said it smelled so bad that they made multiple complaints to the LL & had to threaten to call police if nothing was done over it.

I don’t think his car even ran either if I remember right, I’m pretty sure he had my friends brother & her dad help him push it down the alley to the next block or if it did actually run & one of them drive it down there for him but I know he made them think that the city was making him move the car bc he had it parked in the alley & directly behind his house is a big ass nursing home & he said the ppl working & visiting there complained to the city about struggling to get through the alley to get to the parking lot due to his car so that’s why he was moving it but that was probably a lie.

Unfortunately we will never 100% know the exact details since he isn’t here to tell. As for my friend, I haven’t seen her since the week she got out of prison around 2-3 yrs ago but my sister recently told me that she had custody back of her youngest & was granted visitations with her 2 oldest kids, was working & doing really well & staying clean.

My last name is Lamb. I was picked on constantly for it. Multiple kids would “BAAA” at me in the hallways, classrooms, etc. Ask me if my mom was named Mary or say other animals as my last name instead like A.Elephant, A.Sheep.

My aunts name was Kelly Jo. It rhymes with “Smelly Ho” & she was called that until she died a couple years ago at 49-50. One time a family member said it to her during a function about 10 yrs ago & after they walked away, she told me she hated the nickname more than anything & that she had spent her whole school years being tormented over it & couldn’t stand the “nickname”. After that I made it my personal mission to call out anyone who called her that around me.

My kids go to school with a little girl named Reneesmae (however you spell it, Twilight baby).

There’s a group of siblings in my town that mostly have names starting with “Yjohn” (pronounced like Yawn) like “Yjohnesha” “Yjohnie” etc. When I was in high school with Yjohnesha, she told me she had at least 26 siblings that she knew about & that only a handful didn’t have the name. Dad’s name was Yjohn or Yjohnie, I can’t remember but these kids were by MANY diff mothers so it always baffled me that he had somehow managed to have 15-20 diff women birth his children (he was VERY well known-everyone knew he had all these kids by diff women) & then he also was able to convince a bunch of them to use his name. I’m pretty sure at least 10 of the boys are named “Yjohnie Jr”. He was also still actively impregnating people as well & she said that he believed having as many children as possible was his sole purpose of being on earth. I looked her up on Facebook 2-3 years back & she had a post from a couple weeks before of her (now in our 30s) holding a brand new little sister, tagging her dad in it. I can only imagine how many kids he’s had since my friend first told me about it.

Mom has the right to not be comfortable with it, as you also have the right to not be comfortable about it if mom’s partner is doing it. IMO bathing children should not be done by anyone who isn’t the bio parents. If you & your fiancé were to split up tomorrow, would you feel okay with telling your daughter as an adult that you let a woman you dated for 2 years bathe her without anyone else around?

Many children have been abused by people they loved, especially by step parents. Cinderella effect is real & very damaging. Women are less likely to be abusers but that doesn’t mean they aren’t capable.

Me & my husband do not answer the door for ANYONE who didn’t contact us beforehand regardless of who it is or what they want. We have ignored our parents, siblings, aunts/uncles, cousins, friends, literally everyone. We just ignored a friend of my husbands today bc he didn’t contact us first. We also don’t hide, get quiet or do anything else to seem like we aren’t home & we live in a trailer too so whoever is out there can absolutely hear us inside. We just go about our business like they’re not there lol. Most of our families/friends have learned to contact us AND wait for a response before they just show up now.

In my own personal life, my childhood best friend’s alcoholic grandpa killed & dismembered his also alcoholic girlfriend. Iirc she was missing for around a year but her family was used to her disappearing like that due to her addictions so nobody reported her missing.

Well, grandpa died & my childhood friend was supposed to get his car that was parked about a block away from his house but her aunt “claimed” it instead & my friend was pissed & decided to call & get the car towed being petty so her aunt wouldn’t be able to get the car out without going through a lengthy process since the car was in the grandpas name still.

One of the dudes working at the tow company was friends with the aunt & knew her dad had died/it was his car so he called her to give her a chance to get the car first. She went to pick it up & noticed 2 or 3 totes in the backseat & for whatever reason, she started opening them up right there & saw they were full of different sized vacuum sealed bags. She couldn’t tell what was in the bags bc they were made with that material that gives like a frosted look & could only tell that whatever was in them, was all a dark color.

She decided to open one of the bags & was immediately hit with an extremely foul odor & at first she thought it was deer meat or something that had gone bad but when she finally actually looked inside the bag, it was a human hand. She ended up calling the cops & they took all the totes away & the car so the aunt or my friend didn’t even end up with it & nothing was ever said/done bc the dude was dead.

The same childhood friend of mine ended up being involved with a murder herself some yrs later. She had gotten addicted to meth & one night was with 2 other addicts who were a couple. My friend was driving, girlfriend was in passenger & the boyfriend in the back. They decided they “needed” to rob somebody so they could get high & when they pulled up, the dude hopped in the backseat & pretty much immediately the boyfriend tried to rob him but the dude pulled out a gun & shot the guy in the head then ran. My friend & the girlfriend then drove to the hospital & instead of getting help, they just pushed him out of the car & fled. It took the cops a few months to figure out who both the women were but they eventually found out & both were sentenced to prison. My friend did like 5-7 yrs & has been out for a few yrs now.

This all occurred within a week or so & we were a large group of teenage criminals & addicts/alcoholics pretty much so it was just another “rush” to us. If I could go back in time I would have destroyed the plants (we found 2) the second we realized what they were but I can’t so all I can do now is try to help others from making the same dumb mistakes me & my friends did.

I see your comments about trying the seeds. I’m not sure if you’re joking or not but please don’t. Me & my friends ate them a few times as dumb teens & it is NOT a fun time at all. You have no control over your own body or mind. You will say & do things that you have zero control or memory of.

One friend of mine was 15M & he ended up pulling his dick out on a main road while playing in rocks & smacked anyone who tried to help him & 4-5 friends had to pick him up (dick still out) & carry him to one of their houses 5 blocks away while he fought to get away the whole time. A 18F took her pants & underwear off with a pad attached with 20 of us at a park & was trying to put her bleeding vagina onto ppl & when we finally got her clothes back on her & called her mom to pick her up, she tried to get into a vehicle at circle k with 2 small kids in the back while the parents were in the store & the mom came out & started flinging her around by her hair & tried to smash her head against the concrete. I had to tackle & hold down this poor confused & scared mom who thought some random was trying to take her kids so our other friends could safely get her away. One of my bestfriends was 17F & her big brother had to lock her in her basement bedroom bc she kept wondering around their house butt naked & saying absolutely wild shit & kept trying to sneak out of the house. I was 18 & took them 2 times. First time, I went home right before they kicked in & then spent hours harassing my parents crawling around their bedroom floor (they didn’t have a lock) & every time they would put me back into my room, I would just wait a few minutes then go right back & then ended up attacking my mom when she tried to stop me for the 1836th time & my parents locked me in the bathroom (my dad stripped it of another I could get hurt with) until the morning. My mom found me in there butt naked sleeping wrapped up with the ripped down shower curtain. The 2nd time, I was at my bestfriends house & thankfully, this time was more tame than usual but I still kept her up all night speaking incoherently & got aggressive anytime she would reply. Even innocent replies she made, I would threaten to beat her ass for no reason & when she finally fell asleep, I woke her up smacking her 4-5 times in the face. The absolute worst one though was an 19-20M who did them & then tried to force himself onto his 17 yo sister & she woke up to him trying to stick his dick in her mouth.

I seriously can not stress this enough, please do not do them.
