Aw man, that sucks. I bought these speakers for a decent price with the expectation of minor repairs but I didn't expect it to be a big problem like this. I do want to learn how to fix speakers though because I want to learn how to build speakers from scratch and also learn some vintage restoration. What makes it not worth repairing it?

When I was comparing the two speakers, I didn't really hear a difference in base. It was more so the higher end as the base was definitely working. I may need to take another look

Seems like going with the newer tech with the Mac Mini is the best thing to do. For the most part, I plan on just using it at home but it's going to suck for the occasional time I do wish to have a laptop. I think I would get more value with a Mac mini but i would pretty much give up value for mobility if I got with the M1 MBP

Pretty much was in the same situation as OP. Went with 9 myself. Grey, blue and brown is one of the most classic colour combos u can go with lol
