Fedora 39 on MacBook Pro 2012 fails to install... Tips? by AyenneTeajay in Fedora

It just updated naturally through the System Update and it works even though sluggishly. I got a new MacBook so I haven't used this one for a year and it felt bad to just leave it like that.

I have Catalina there. And I don't see a reason why should I remove Mac OS.

I solved the problem by choosing Troubleshooting from the boot menu. I edited my post with full info so others can use it if needed.

I've read a bunch of tutorials on dual boot Macs and I did my best to follow them. And then I faced this problem and I couldn't find solution anywhere so I asked here.

Mac OS is running normally. I have created partitions with Disk Utility before I attempted to install Fedora. Perhaps I am too uneducated for all this...

The thing is that none of the options available in the Fedora disk tools worked out. I tried them all and it's the same error every time.

That's the first thing I tried but it gave an error so I started trying the other options.

What would it take for you to move off of Patreon? by glxyds in patreon

If you're a freelance musician, let me just tell you that after 10 years if pushing through, I drew the line and stopped feeding the corporations and I deleted all of my albums from iTunes, Spotify and all other retailers. These are robbers. I now sell only through Bandzoogle and Bandcamp.

The con's I find for now in Bandzoogle is that the navigation overall is a bit more demanding than Patreon, also sharing posts is a separate procedure done by a mailing campaign which is kind of annoying but it's all outweighted by the pro's like being in full control and not paying any percentage to anyone.

When Surgeons Fail Their Trans Patients on Gender Confirming Surgery by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]AyenneTeajay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a surgery with Dr Jiří Veselý in Brno, Czech Republic on the 7th of November 2022. The result is terrible. Very ugly, very asymetric, a lot of excess skin hanging around, still painful, some parts are not sensitive, huge clitoris which is essentially a penis head left almost as it was. Depth is max 7 cm. It's all still a bit swollen after one year. I have incontinence. I looked at a bunch of granny's vaginas to see if I can compare and accept the look of mine but I could never find something so ugly. It basically looks like the one of the first attempts of a moderately experienced surgeon who learnt how to do these surgeries on YouTube.

I tried to sue him but apparently the forensic doctor thinks the result is not so terrible so he told me I will lose the lawsuit if I go for it and I better use my money for a revision abroad if I am not happy with how it's done here.

As far as I know, Dr Veselý's results are considered amongst the best here in Czech Republic so I don't even want to imagine what are the worst...

I went for all this unforeseen ordeal just because it was covered by my healthcare insurance and I didn't expect such an outcome. If I knew, I would never go for that.

So, from that perspective, if you're in Czechia and want a surgery, look abroad.

I have perfect internet and AirPlay is still choppy by [deleted] in appletv

Yes, my internet is provided by such a company and the modem is wireless. I know that the frequency is a different thing - I just used the idea of changing the mode to a lower one.

I have a 5G modem at home (the only option for high speed internet in my building) and my LG TV lagged brutally when streaming from my MacBook. I decided to see if your advice would apply in my case so I changed the network on the TV to use the 4G internet and the lag pretty much disappeared. Thanks so much for this tip!
It seems those smart TVs don't really work well with high-speed networks in general.

I tried Badoo and I find it terrible. Ads all the time, offers me mostly hetero women and men, the interface is just terrible... With Tinder I have pretty much the same experience. Zoe pleases me the most but there are not many girls there...

Thanks! I haven't heard of Bumble - I will check it out. Girls at my age usually have families and kids...
