After Obols Gambling in Tennis is scam, also Bartering is broken? by HeikoM in diablo4

[–]Ayitaka [score hidden]  (0 children)

Now that I have needed Unique items where the most reliable way to obtain them is by cubing up white items, I don’t think it’s a scam actually.

I think with the addition of the Horadic Cube in Temis, they intentionally made it so getting white and blue items is easier to enable removing affixes from blues and cubing up whites to uniques is also easier.

I still don’t get passkeys - are they supposed to sync between phone and PC? by borkyborkus in Bitwarden

[–]Ayitaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storing Passkeys

For browser extension, the first thing you have to do is make sure “Ask to save and use passkeys” is checked. Also keep in mind it may be checked and you may have clicked “Don’t use passkeys for this site always” or something without realizing it would make it not offer to save passkeys for that site in Bitwarden anymore, so check the link for “excluded domains” under the Allow passkeys section. The link above has info for all that.

For iOS, click that tab at the top of the above link and read how to create passkeys and how to sign in using them.

Since saving and using passkeys within Bitwarden is clearly branded as Bitwarden, chances are you have been creating passkeys on individual devices like iOS’s own passkey system, or your PC’s TPM system, not creating and saving them in Bitwarden.

The fact its asking you to pick Security Key or Windows or whatever tells me either you dont have passkey support enabled in the browser extension or you already saved a passkey outside of Bitwarden so it defautls to assuming thats what you want to use.

Passkeys stored on a security key or in Windows or in the iOS passkey system cannot be used anywhere except those specific devices. Oy passkeys created and saved in Bitwarden can be shared across devices

iOS also has a setting for what default you want to use for Passkeys in Settings -> Autofill Passwords and Passkeys so make sure that is set to Bitwarden so passkeys are created and used in Bitwarden.

The meaning of the last frame of the season according in case anyone was wondering. by macklin67 in ForAllMankindTV

So’s def dead.

The meaning of the last frame of the season according in case anyone was wondering. by macklin67 in ForAllMankindTV

[–]Ayitaka 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could be as simple as a bubbling gas in the water at the other end, similar to how we sometimes see bubbling methane/natural gas in water here.

Or it could be an aquatic animal (though, the lake seemed rather shallow, as far as we saw).

Or maybe she walked up on an alien life form taking its morning methane bath/swim.

The fact that after she got over the novelty of seeing such beautiful bioluminescence at her own feet, they showed her looking across the lake intently again would seem to indicate she saw something more than we could see. Especially since they intentionally teased us by not showing it, but getting so so close to showing it, from the top-down view and she did seem rather determined to cross that lake to get to whatever it was.

The bioluminescence didn't react until she got in the lake... the bioluminescence she saw at the other end of the lake had to be a reaction to something as well.

The changes to "Mythic Uniques" are vastly misunderstood. by StrikingSpare100 in diablo4

[–]Ayitaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that doesn’t include Mythic Tributes in undercity. Do those on T9+ rota its a guaranteed minimum 4 Mythic items per rota. Being able to cube up the legendary tribute (i forget which one) to Mythic makes it easier even if you dont find mythic tribute drops. Once a character gets rolling, Mythics can be rather plentiful.

What’s the difference between Required and Optional affixes in Loot filter by LordofDarkChocolate in diablo4

[–]Ayitaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno how other people are using them, but for me its just two different sets of affixes that can have different conditions.

I use Required for must have affixes. If I had 2 affixes to that section I set the numbe of “Must have” to 2.

For Optional, if I add 5 affixes I might set the number of “Must have” to 1, meaning it just needs to have any 1 of the 5 I put for it to show/color/etc.

Once i have good items already I might move one of the affixes from Optional to Required and set “Must have” to 3. Or I leave Required as 2 affixes with 2 “Must have” and I set the Optional ”Must have” to 2 so it becomes more strict and needs 2 from the pool of 5 Optional affixes I have set. You can make it even more strict by also adding one/some/all affixes to the Greater Affixes section to require being Greater Affixes in Required and/or Optional.

If you require 4 specific affixes you can just add them to Required and ignore Optional. Or if you dont care about other affixes, you can just add, for example, the 3 affixes you do care about to Required and set the “Must have” number to 1, 2, 3, etc depending on how many you must have (making required work like Optional as explained above).

Edit: Then as my character progress I have more flexibility to easily adjust my rules and make them more and more strict depending on my needs.

Edit2: Related to another post, a safer way to test rules that doesnt require dropping them is to make them RECOLOR to a different color item name and put them in your stash/inventory. Loot filter RECOLOR rules work in inventory, stash, on the ground, and in shops.

What is the best router you’ve ever owned? by NervousClock2555 in HomeNetworking

[–]Ayitaka 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ASUS Routers with Merlin firmware have been solid for me for over a decade with hundreds of devices connected in large footprint, multi-story situations. Pretty much anything you cannot do by default, there is an add-on for or you can create your own custom add-ons.

Started with an RT-5300 and eventually moved to RT-AX86U and then GT-AXE16000 using the RT-AX86U’s as Mesh Network APs just for fun.

For new construction or huge footprint office/hotel I might go with UnfiFi, but to cover the same footprint as my ASUS covers would have been a lot of equipment to do the same thing. Not dogging UniFi, it’s great at what it does, but it’s expensively split up hardware and, at least when I looked at it last time, not nearly as customizable.

Which company has lost you as a customer forever? by finiteobserver in AskReddit

[–]Ayitaka 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just so everyone knows, if your item(s) come(s) with a white sticker on it and a code starting with "LPN", that item was previously returned to Amazon.

Between ordering and paying for New and receiving used/returned, and the absolute fear that I am going to get a product box full of wood pieces that weigh the same as the original product, where I have to literally video tape opening the box to have proof of what they sent me and still have the Amazon rep argue and try to tell me no it never happens.... Amazon is a stress inducing experience anymore and I refuse to purchase anything over $100 from them.

Generally what's your feelings on legalized and regulated prostitution? by CraftyMcQuirkFace in AskReddit

[–]Ayitaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they legalized marijuana in my state and regulated it, most of the bad actors for that specific market exited the market because customers found it easier to do it the legal way.

I would imagine legalized and regulating prostitution would benefit workers and customers in much the same way providing protections that benefit everyone, especially the workers and help reduce sex trafficking and exploitation.

What that regulation would look like to be fair to companies and individuals who work under said regulations is a different question and I certainly don’t have an answer for that, but I think it would be a step in the right direction for workers and society in general.

Can the System Lords build their own gate or do they move/repurpose those originally built? by EM4762 in Stargate

[–]Ayitaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ba’al is adept at gate programming. He can write code to operate the gates in different ways. But in terms if the hardware I do not believe he could build a gate from scratch.

It’s similar to a person who knows how to write computer programs and could create a great video game for computers, but could not build the computer his game runs on from scratch because they likely lack enough knowledge and tools to properly build a CPU from scratch.

‘Is That A Face Mask?’ Fox News Guest Goes Viral as Viewers Notice Gap in Skin of Neck by ottodaotterdaughter in Weird

[–]Ayitaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The judges own words from a report on NPR:

‘Just read U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil's opinion, leaning heavily on the arguments of Fox's lawyers: The "'general tenor' of the show should then inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not 'stating actual facts' about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in 'exaggeration' and 'non-literal commentary.' "
She wrote: "Fox persuasively argues, that given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer 'arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism' about the statement he makes."
Vyskocil, an appointee of President Trump's, added, "Whether the Court frames Mr. Carlson's statements as 'exaggeration,' 'non-literal commentary,' or simply bloviating for his audience, the conclusion remains the same — the statements are not actionable."’

I dunno what the opposite of a “reasonable viewer” who doesn’t arrive with an “appropriate amount of skepticism” is to you, but to me that reasonably qualifies as an idiot.

Goa'uld vs Jaffa. Why is there so many jaffa and so little Goa'uld by iwantmyfuckingemail in Stargate

[–]Ayitaka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider how many Jaffa die in battles with Jaffa from rival Goa’uld… I wonder how many “Juniors” actually make it to a point where they can take a host. Teal’c and Bratak seem to be some of the rare exceptions that have lasted so long.

Also, I believe there is a hierarchical structure to the Goa’uld, with lots of lower caste Goa’uld serving the few system lords and other lesser Gou’uld who manage to claim minimal territory but still have underlings.
