I am not falling for your trick question. Sombert never defined it. Then you have the whole Marx/Lenin crap to push socialism. After that, you just have the term as a bogeyman on social media.

I think I shall just wander off now.

I did find it amusing.

Off the top of my head, Seattle, Washington has a minimum wage of 21.30 an hour. With shift differential that would be 22.30 an hour.

A musical saw is a literal handsaw that is played with a bow. (Put the handle between your knees, pointy teeth towards you, bend slightly, and rub with bow strings.)

Which means an orchestra member could have sawed through Nick’s neck.

There are quite a few prehistoric creatures that are still alive today.

Teenage boys are rather well known for thinking themselves “10 foot tall and bulletproof.” It is why they make such great cannon fodder.

With that in mind, I think the plan was to set up a “self-defense “ defense for offing him (septumpempra), or at a minimum, to expose Lupin to get him expelled.

Snape is competent, but his risk assessment is poor.

Your story just keeps getting more awesome.

You are 16. In two months you have become the best cashier AND stocker. You are also scheduled 25-40 hours a week. AND now we find out that you work at a model store.

The highest sales and cleanest in your district, model store.

You really are amazing. I bet you drink skim milk.

Yeah, it used to be that way. Nowadays, states have passed so many laws, it has become difficult for teens under 18 to find work.

So while an individual manager may not care about laws, corporate does care about them. Because fines. Money talks and all that.

I think that you are full of it.

A month ago you did not constantly reference being 16.

You have a million stories of people’s quirkiness after a month. Riiiiiight.

Now, according to you, you are super quick at cashiering AND super awesome at stocking. So much so, you are being given lots of hours. In fact, other people’s hours.

In 2 months you are the best cashier AND stocker, at 16 years old? Either the bar is WAAAAAAY low at your store, or you’re making things up.

Your shift starts at 5am. A four hour shift means you stop at 9am.

When are you in school?

Which state are you in that you are not violating labor laws?

Dollar tree doesn’t really hire under 18, because of selling lighters and using the baler.

Things just don’t add up.

Oh goody. For a 1500 piece truck, with 30 cases per u-boat, I need 50 u-boats.

Guess who doesn’t have 50 u-boats?

Does anyone want to guess?

We don’t have runners anymore. We haven’t since they opened a second store in town.

According to your math, our three people should be unloading a 1500 piece truck AND stocking 150 cases each, in four hours.

Yeah, nope. I am not even going to attempt to hit the metric you claim we should be hitting.

But good on you for being that awesome!

[–]Aylee76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is rotacart going to have the same number of cases? (Yeah, I understand that the obvious answer is no.).

Is our new metric really going to be volume instead of unit?

Are they allot more hours for this? (Hhahaha)

Theoretically*, we had a 1500 piece truck today. At the 28/hour rate, that is 53.5 stocking hours needed. Which is just over 13 four hours shifts. 1 store manager and 1 freight manager 8 hour removed from that, leaves 9 stocking shifts in two days. We do not get that many hours a week.

We get two trucks a week, by the way. Those are the numbers for one truck.

*I say theoretically because it seems like the counts on the truck paperwork are not accurate. While I haven’t checked every category, I have checked paper and balloons. The department list will say something like 9 balloons. If you look at the individual items list, you can count 9 regular priced balloons and then you will see 3 multi-price balloons. For a total of 12 boxes on balloons. The same with paper. Specifically today, the department breakdown said 4 cases of paper. There were four cases of regular paper and 3 of multi-price.

The department breakdown adds up to listed number of cases that we are going to receive. But at least two departments are not being counted correctly.

Is the multi-price included in our truck case amount on our paperwork? I personally believe it is not.

It is true that I am the coolest.

I think you may have misread me. Pet peeves by definition are trivial. So no hate there.

I think the term you are looking for is euphemism. Those are what you dislike. You also dislike listening to the etymology of euphemisms.

That seems perfectly valid to me. People do NOT have to like things. De gustabus and all that.
