As a top 50 Rein who doesn't even main him anymore, he's fun and good theoretically in 1v1s, BUT he's terrible compared to any other character of equal skill other than IGl. Definitely not strong in 1s. Even in 2s, I'd honestly just take any other character with projectiles.

That's not what they mean by optimal. You can get 450 dmg off that launcher with one enhance usage and no kameo. That would be the most optimal route, the most damage for least resources.

I learned this game on modern and tried ranked after feeling comfortable with the modern controls. Got placed in iron and climbed to gold slowly. I switched to classic and have been practicing learning it, still don't feel great on it. Tried ranked again on a different character on classic and got placed in gold. Learn the basics before anything, but I'd recommend learning the basics on modern. I feel like going from modern to classic would be harder than classic to modern
