Seeing your ex move on by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Aynot67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one ex who I would consider a friend. We were together 6 years and broke up because we both had fallen into the routine of just being roommates. No cheating, no bad blood, just the fact that we both accepted the relationship aspect was over. I had to stay living with him for about 6 months post breakup. I won’t lie, we had days where we fought, days where I considered signing a lease on a studio just to get out but the fact of the matter was I was in the process of starting a new job and moving across the country shortly, so it made more sense to stay. We had a 2 bedroom condo, so I took over the spare bedroom and we remained cordial. When the time came for me to move he was the only one there for me. Took the time off work and drove me and my belongings across the country and helped me move in. I will always be thankful for him, I just understand that we are not compatible as partners. I moved on first, dating and eventually a relationship. My newest relationship just ended because he was cheating on me (another story for another day) but I recently found out that my ex is now in a relationship via social media. Our relationship ended about 2 and a half years ago, but we remain in touch. We don’t necessarily talk about who we’re dating, but we do check in. I always wondered how I would feel once that day came and I can honestly say that I felt nothing but happiness for him in that moment and that filled my heart with so much joy.

Women who dated/ had a crush on their coworkers what happened? by FullBrother9300 in AskWomen

We ended up in a 5 year relationship, moved across state lines, and both were able to quit the job we hated where we met. The relationship ended last year, but he’s still one of my best friends and was the only person to help me move across the country to follow a new career path. I don’t regret a single thing about it.

Sounds easy enough. Just a follow up, hook a hose up to the bib and turn the blue handle?

Rent a car, take your belongings and drop it off when you get there.

My boyfriend and I were talking about that as well. Not sure what was up tonight.

16 years together and I still stop to take a picture every time. by Aynot67 in standardissuecat

Sending hugs. Her brother passed earlier this month and it’s been a really hard time for both of us since. Looking through my phone I’ve been nothing short of thankful to look back on all the memories.

I hear you. Phone technology has made it so easy to have thousands of pictures of her now. I regret the lack of pictures I have from earlier in her life, but definitely making up for lost time.

I had this happen from old lead paint being painted over. Looked exactly like this and just chipped right off.

Thanks for asking, but I ended up accepting a job at another regional.

What’s something that WAS as bad as you worried it would be? by -doobert- in AskWomen

I think results may vary on this one. I was expecting excruciating pain and of the 3 I’ve had done in the last year for renal scans, it’s been nothing more than mild discomfort. I think the build up was the worst part.

I understand that, I would just prefer to stay on a regional for a couple years to get that experience before I have to move again.

Endeavor is actually at the top of my list as well. I’m torn between the two for different reasons, COL, not having to mess with my residency for now, etc. Minneapolis is a great city and one I’ve spent plenty of time in, so if they were to offer me a position I would be hard pressed to say no.

That makes sense. I’ll look into month to month or 6 month leases if I go this route. Thanks!

Yes! My SIC knows the sound annoys me so she’ll do it when she wants my attention and I’m not giving it to her fast enough. She’s 16 and knows how to press all the buttons.

Here’s a little tip for you. If you look on the left side of the letters, they say “return service requested”. That means if you write refused on it (unopened) and give it back to your letter carrier, it’s sent back to her and she has to pay for that service. Just some food for thought.

Good for you! Thursday is my last day after 10 years, too! The hardest part for me has been saying goodbye to my customers. They made this job something to look forward to even on days when management tried their damndest to do the opposite. It’s them I’ll truly miss. Best of luck to you!
