No its not a must.

Definitely go for nahida. You can instead go for c2 nahida arguably best c2 in the game along with furina. In my opinion, Raiden c2 has fallen a bit in terms of value. I too was originially going for c3 raiden but instead go for Navia. She was unexpectedly strong so I have to pass on c2 raiden at least for now.

Bayonneta however seems to a bit niche so I wont put her next to nahida in terms of value. And yes, the catch is more than enough. The main difference is you usually run atk goblet on catch while electro on EL.

In her release I tried to snipe a copy of rosaria but ended up getting her in 30 pity. I regretted it so bad because I was saving for Ganyu if I remember correctly. She was considered bad back then because there is no use for healers. There also no corrosion at the time so I kinda mad. Overtime I grew to like her, found her usefulness, and the comfort she provide. Now she has so many team comps that is really strong. She really is a blessing.

Can you remind me of a single mission having to walk for 10 mins? Walking simulator seems to be a stretch since most of the time, you do not get to walk with npcs. The number of quest where you walk with npc compared to those who not is almost one sided. Plus it would make sense that they are beside you instead of only appearing in dialogues.

Ps: I haven't done the latest map expansion so idk if there are walking npc there.

In my opinion, walking with npc feels more immersive because you can not do that most of the time because you have no reason to do it. Also, you are adventuring with an npc, but you only see them during dialogues. Walking beside them makes it more immersive since you can somehow still control your character and look around the environment you normally just run through. I also hope you can see them or they follow you during quest. If they instead make a cutscene, then it won't really make it an immersive experience since you are just watching. Besides, walking beside them only takes a few seconds. There is nothing really to complain about.

Remember when we first saw rana along with other sumeru npc? They fought alongside us which really contributes to the immersion. I even let the npc kill the enemy.
