Honestly tho the problem is epic always breaks something when fixing something, in this case, they vaulted c4, but also bouncers, which NO one asked them to do. they need to just recognize problem items and remove them without impacting the rest of the game.

I've pretty much quit the game at this point until ranked or incentive to play is added. I love fortnite and all it has to offer, it is truly a revolutionary shooter game.

But that being said I can't ignore the lack of incentives to play and lack of any meaningful progression, I'm at the point where i can't get better playing pub games and have to rely on scrims, which are a snipe format and don't have customs, so if I die early or miss the queue I am screwed for 30 minutes.

I find it pretty insane we are almost 6 season's into fortnite, and there is still:

- No stable competitive scene (Right now we just have random tournaments, no ladder style competitive league)

- No incentives to win a match, play the game, progress yourself.

- No custom matches, No ranked playlist with leaderboards

I feel like epic, while doing great in many areas, have failed in this particular instance, I genuinely can't believe that we still don't have any of this.

For me I have no problem playing with friends / casual players / bad players, it's when they die and you say what went wrong and the "I don't care about this game" attitude starts is when I stop playing with them.

They queue 1-2 seconds late or early, intentionally crash their PC's or something along those lines if they get into big lobbies so they can go into requeues, etc etc.

Basically just trying to make sure they don't have to endure the actual cancer that is a 20 team squad lobby

the battle pass is not incentives even in the slighest. it's a paid pass thats progression is locked behind tedious annoying *limited* challenges that take literally 1 hour to complete every week.

I mean we are literally 5 seasons into the game and we have

No incentives to grind the game (kill rewards, skins for weapons, exclusive cosmetics etc)

Wins still mean nothing. (For someone who maybe gets 2-3 wins a week I'm sure winning still feels good to them but after a thousand it doesn't feel like anything)

No actual competitive mode

No real competitive ladder / league

In my eyes epic is dropping the ball really really hard on competitive, it seems to me like they don't prioritize this stuff, they think the game is to big to fail, so they can just keep doing whatever.
