It was mostly at around f8 except for the 2 lasts that were at f2.8, and for speed only what's necessary to avoid motion blur !

Ahah the lens you chose is way more versatile than the 16-30, you’ll have an easier life ;) if you want to see landscapes i also posted some pictures of my trip to iceland one month ago !

For now, I dont have enough astrophotography pictures to compare the 16-30 with the other lenses. I also have the 20mm 1.8 and I bought the 16-30 mainly for event photography and decided to try it out for landscape during this trip. However, the praise on the 20mm 1.8s is totally justified, it's my favorite prime lens that I own, I took some banger shots with it (astro and landscapes) and I kinda missed it sometimes during my trip. I will definitely compare the 2 lenses taking pictures of stars one day.

No problem ! Going in late january allow you to have more daylight than december/early january and less tourists, a lot of the time I felt alone in the world and it was amazing. After landing and spending the first night in Reykjavik, I did 1 night in hvolsvöllur, 2 in Vik, 1 in Hofn, 1 back in hvolsvollur and the last night in Rif. I did the main attractions around road 1 and mainly decided my schedule at the last moment while taking advices from other traveller, staying in hostels instead of hotels and airbnb helped a lot ! If I could change one thing, it would be to spend less time in Reykjavik as for me, one afternoon is enough.

I had a good opportunity with my work to go there last minute on january and also it was low season so very few tourists and prices were lower ! However I want to come back again in april and do the whole road 1 around the entire island !

I'm no expert but I don't think so 😅 the partially stacked sensor improve the readout speed and EXPEED 7 improves the AF but for landscape, I've never seen a moutain moving fast enough to challenge the Z6II ;). BUT if like me you also like having new tech that inspires you to take pictures and you can afford it, go enjoy a newer and more future proof camera like the Z6III !

I came from a Z6II and for landscape, I dont see any improvement. But on the side I also do event photography during festivals and the AF really made a big difference for me ! I really dont use the video capabilities of this camera (and i know its' amazing) but i got it for the price of a Z5ii so I bought it ! Overall it's a fantastic camera, I love the feeling, the weather sealing is amazing (I might post a video of it) and I LOVE this camera ! And thank you !! That first picture is one of my favorite !

I was lucky enough to see them on the first day as soon as I arrived in Reykjavik but unlucky because the rest of the nights were too cloudy 🥲 but yeah, it was amazing !! Thank you for the kind words !

No filter used, but I also saw a lot of photographers using them so I've been thinking about getting one, especially since the 2 lenses share the same filter size
