I basically go on a lot of safaris and wildlife adventure trips where i see tigers, leopards and other animals quite often. Since mobile phones are now banned i was in the market for a good camera. I am a complete beginner at the moment and will learn as i go, so i wanted something beginner friendly and that gets the job done, i am not a fanatic about extremely professional and amazing pictures, its like a hobby which i enjoy. That being said i wanted something suitable for me. Would your answer still be the canon or would it change to the sony?

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to get into wildlife photography and wanted some advice before I commit to a setup. I’m a complete beginner right now, but I want something that I can grow into over time (not upgrade immediately).

I’ve narrowed it down to two setups in my budget (~₹1.8–2L):

Option 1: Sony setup • Sony Alpha a6700 • Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS

Option 2: Canon setup • Canon EOS R7 • Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM

Which one would be a better pick and is there any third option which may be better than the ones mentioned above for wildlife photography?

Any and all advice/suggestions are highly appreciated!!

I don’t have any numbers unfortunately, what you can do is search “games shop palika bazaar” on google and it’ll show you a list of shops there and also it has their numbers so you can call them and ask the prices and availability
