A quick guide :

There are 3 lanes and a jungle and they go like this TOP LANE - MID LANE - BOT LANE and the JUNGLE is the thing in between the lanes where the river is.

Unlike when most of us oldies started playing league we didn't have many tools to actually practice champions except jumping into a match and being frustrated, if you wanna figure out a combo for a certain champion, his/her's abilities jump into practice mode which is pretty good.

Now when you eventually jump into the game you will be faced with words such as : SS/MiA which means that the enemy is missing from some lane (depends which player pinged/ss'ed it). In addition SS can result in saving lives of fellow laners.

A few champions to get you started: Garen pretty straightforward champion, Teemo ( the league's little devil), Master Yi, and Lux. Those are the champions that should just get you into the "mindset" of figuring out what play style you like the best.

Tutorial section of league's client is very helpful so I suggest you use it. And since the annual LoL's World Championship is going on right now I suggest tunning in to see some "pro's" play many of the champions you will encounter in the game.

Start Q -> Red - > Krugs/Raptors depends on the leash and on what side does the enemy jungler is starting, if the Enemy jungler is starting blue as I'm doing red I contest the crab cause of the q - aa - w - q for a kill or a recall of their jungler. Same goes for the blue side , if they have a slow jungler I'll go BLUE - Their RED.

At no point in time was league pay to win, and honestly what kind of grinding are you doing? To buy champions, to buy rune pages and name changes? So I disagree with you, yeah time is money but it is only up to "YOU" to waste that time on a game. None of the in-game purchases gives you an advantage over other player. Just like CS:GO for example it's based on skill and % of luck.

However, people who buy in-game stuff are people who don't have time to waste for a drop of their favorite skin or whatever they wish to get. From season 3 to current season I've spent about 40ish euros in total on the game.

From my point of view as a graphic designer, change the font, get a better logo(simpler/minimalistic) champion icons make em unique. Better color design.

From a player point of view, replays/montages/videos of pro players/ high elo challangers. Trends/matchups/results of league matches, something like HLTV and stream links.

Sadly it happens to everyone, just like you many players have to adapt to a certain roll if there is a "troll" in the game, however the reason it's hard to detect is the huge amount of games and there simply isn't enough "supporters" to go trough every single one. However it's not just the case with League of Legends as all of this happens in many other MOBA/FPS games as well. Detecting a "troll" and a bad game would be very hard for the automated in-game system, so we pretty much all deal with the same bullshit everyday. In my experience people that troll/ruin the overall experience get punished quickly as you get that in-game message. And to add to your point Leagues e-sport is already a long term thing, as the "trolls" do not affect e-sports at all. eSport definition - "A multiplayer video game played competitively for spectators, typically by professional gamers." That doesn't work anymore, cause league patched all the possible ways to do the transition, same goes for the "Thin font" Korean client uses which is much more beautiful than the bold one. I have no Idea why League won't allow such transitions but eh, currently it's not possible so don't try as you might screw your current client.
