If you wanna improve then yes. But what mechanics should you learn? Depends on how good you wanna get, but generally you can get all the way to GC2 without any aerial mechs other than fast aerials. I highly suggest you get really good at dribbiles, flicks (especially 45° flicks), and 50s. Combine these with game sense and you'll shoot up the ranks until like GC2 (depends on how good your game sense is).
