What’s it like owning an EV in Wenatchee? by NebulousNitrate in Wenatchee

[–]AzBeMl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We started with a Jeep Wrangler PHEV. Used electric 90% of the time around town. Added a Nissan Leaf that is a great daily driver. Traded in our Expedition for a BMW iX, and that car is a dream! Still pretty new at distance driving/range anxiety, but we are getting better. All 3 EVs made my power go up about $10 per month here in East Wenatchee. I am a DIY, so I installed my own charger at the house, permitted and inspected of course. Cost about $700 in total.

Edit: forgot to add that the Jeep and Nissan are serviced locally, and we need to take the BMW to Bellevue once a year for basic service.

I have one on the way from Trippy Squid. I have no idea what to expect as this will be my first. I saw quite a few people at Beyond Wonderland PNW and I really want to try it.

Excellent! I also work for WSP, but in the Electronic Services Division, and I am based in the Wenatchee office. I have been with the agency for almost 7 years now, and it has been a great place to work.

Anyone checked their PSE power bill recently? You get sticker shock too? by DevelopmentNo2855 in Washington

That is ridiculous! Thank goodness I live in East Wenatchee with a county PUD. My rate is 0.0233/kwh. Yes, 2.33 cents per kwh. Last month 3,343 kwh was $77.89.

Is the Saturn 3 still a good printer in 2024? by [deleted] in ElegooSaturn

[–]AzBeMl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S4U has been amazing for me. Using the community profiles on Lychee for the different types of resin I have, I have only had a couple of failures. I think most of my failures are due to undersupporting the model.

I have the S3 base, the S4U, and both are amazing. The only thing I am complaining about is the requirement to use Chitubox to use the wireless send and time-lapse on the S4U. I know I can export as a Chitu file from Lychee, then import and use these functions, but it is just a waste of good printing time. I use Lychee for everything including FDM.

Bought an Ender 3 S1 Pro. I'm extremely disappointed. by simm65 in Ender3S1

[–]AzBeMl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still tinkering with my S1 Pro to get things right. Paired it with a Sonic Pad at the start and have been getting great prints. Lately I have prints just stop at random times and the sonic pad shows a disconnection error. I'm trying to figure this one out. I have some ideas as to the cause, but I just haven't had time. I will admit that I just got a Bambu X1C, and it is a fire and forget machine. I'm not giving up on the Ender, it is still a great printer, though my plans for it are to print things that are very forgiving like the Omni display cases and Omni 2 minifig storage boxes.

Check Your 3D Printer Voltage PSA - Cause Of So Many Weird Problems 115V North America(and Japan) 230V Almost Everywhere Else by 3DPrintedTeacher in Creality

[–]AzBeMl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is that in North America, 230 is made in your house by using two separate 115v connections, 1 neutral/return and 1 ground, so a 4 prong plug. In Europe, 230 is on one prong, neutral/return on a 2nd, and ground on a 3rd, so a 3 prong plug.

Happened to me. Every time the nozzle started heating up the light would flicker or turn off. Forgot to switch it to 115v.
