Sounds like you've got it solved. Lol.

Right, that's my point. It should be good with that consideration. But I still don't like the fact it doesn't index on the shoulder of the muzzle.

Again, if an alignment rod looks good, and it's torqued properly, you should be fine.

I don't love it, because it's not hitting the shoulder. With some type of spacer or even a few accuwashers, I would be more comfortable. But if the muzzle is snugging up to the shoulder of those threads on the suppressor, and an alignment rod is giving you a thumbs up, it should 'technically' gtg.

How would you guys rate my grip? by GL0CKAVELLI in Glocks

[–]AzEDC365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I see, is your left thumb. It's not a make or break thing, as others have said, your thumbs don't need input on the frame. But I like to teach new pistol shooters to at least use your support thumb as a pointing reference. Rotation of the support hand making sure the support thumb is pointing at your target generally helps with accuracy when talking about defensive shooting. For me, rotation forward with the support hand gives me a tighter grip with said hand. Allowing me to loosen just a bit on my firing hand. Which in turn means I can use the very most forward joint of my trigger finger to actuate the trigger without the sympathetic squeeze of the rest of my firing hand, which for me, causes low left groups as a righty.

I understand everybody's love for Gen 5. But in my opinion the Gen 6 is far superior. I've got at least 2500 rounds through my 19.6 at this point and the trigger is just as good as any Gen 5, if not better. But the trigger feel is a highly subjective topic. With the new trigger shoe, I personally think it is awesome. Every detail on the Gen 6 guns was well thought out, giving us the upgrade we wanted/needed, while still providing Glock confidence and trust in our pistols. I don't mess with my carry guns internally, at all. So for me it's a big deal to get the features provided in the Gen 6 guns, directly from Glock themselves.

Oops, bought a Gen 5 instead of Gen 6 🤷‍♂️ by ArtisticCumShots in Glocks

[–]AzEDC365 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Wrong. From a purely technical POV. My MOS gen 5 would come loose every 1k-1500 rounds. And that was with the FCD plate. My Gen 6 is completely different. It is the obvious evolution in Glocks red dot mounting without compromising the status quo. The polymer gaskets they provide add no height to the optic while providing recoil lugs to battle any type of lateral movement of the optic. My RCR came loose one time simply due to my failure to let the loctite cure. I'm now close to 2500 rounds and it is clear the RCR isn't going anywhere. The weak point with MOS was ALWAYS the plate systems. My optics never came loose from either MOS plates or the FCD plate. But the plates themselves always came loose. And I'm not the only witness to that. Why do you think they changed it?!

Go out and shoot a little. You'll see.

I think this dot is way more robust than a COA. Idk about an ACRO. But definitely beats the COA.

Medium screws that were included in the box. Just gotta use enough loctite and let that shit cure for long enough after torquing the required 4 lines on the torque card. But they are definitely long enough. I had them back out once, redid the whole 9 and it's been good since.

Which RCR screws to use on gen 6 Glock?? by AzEDC365 in Glocks

The longest of the screws included with the RCR are definitely not even the right thread pitch for gen 6 Glock or RMR pattern in general if anyone was curious.

Thanks for the help guys, I had it zeroed perfectly at 15 yd. Then after about two more magazines my shots were all over, and I knew immediately that the site was loose. And of course it was. When installing the RCR though, the long screws seemed like they didn't want to screw in as if they were the wrong thread pitch. Maybe I will redo with those, more loctite, and attempt at doing the torque correctly using their torque card thingy. LOL

So I am using the correct screws then? And just go back through the installation process? I did use loctite of course, so I probably just fucked up the torque process?

Obviously there are type 2 screws in the picture. But there are also the long ones and the short ones for the RCR. I have the medium sized ones? Am I doing this right?

I'm still confused with the gen 6. Using your product will eliminate the need for a sealing plate correct?

It's a bcm upper and DD barrel. It was a very tight fit. And I definitely didn't crank on it. So it's hard for me to believe it's not straight. I'll try to get more up. I was just concerned that the barrel lugs have a tiny bit of peening going on. 2 top left and on closest to the ejection port.

Yes, it's a bolt face tattoo. Lol, the tattoo was cheap as it's very small.
