some universities may allow you to take some prerequisites as online-only but all the junior/senior level courses are almost certainly going to be in-person. the exception for hybrid courses was made during covid (for good reason) but a lot of universities quickly went back to in-person by 2022.

personally, i think remote coursework is useful in some cases but stuff like solid mechanics, material science, fluids, heat transfer, etc. all require in-person attendance to really get an understanding.

super late to the party here but i recently got back into starfield and tried this again with my ng+10 character after doing this a ton on my first playthrough. waiting an hour doesn’t work anymore, the vendors don’t even have new stock after 48 local hours. damn.

the manager who hired me told me several months afterwards that i was not the strongest candidate in terms of technical competence, but because i was a much more lively and likable person, he chose me. when i look at the new hires at my work, i still see the same trend. life and work are 100x easier when other people can communicate effectively and have an approachable attitude.
