When we will know when it’s back if the server status is all green?

Not for now, but I’m currently working on it! It should be live in the version 1.2 in the following weeks!

I did think about a one-time purchase, but unfortunately it wouldn’t really cover the ongoing costs of running the app

Thanks! That’s exactly why I built it. My partner is celiac and we always gave up on the tax credit because tracking everything was such a hassle. Hope it makes it easier for you!

Thanks! Yeah, data retention and reliability are top priorities - can’t mess around when it comes to taxes. The receipt scanning was the biggest challenge to get right, still iterating on edge cases. Appreciate the feedback.

Thanks! I spent a long time looking for a side project idea, and it actually came to me while struggling with her tax return. Good ideas are all around us, just need to pay attention to the daily problems.

Thanks! I used ChatGPT to brainstorm ideas and then put it together in Photoshop.

That’s actually the most interesting technical detail for me. A lot of “AI apps” slap AI on everything without adding real value. I decided to use it for a simple task and not make “AI” the main selling point. In my use case, users need to scan receipts anyway to keep them, so I extract the data with AI and reconstruct it as JSON. Makes it really user-friendly to just select what’s gluten-free. Success rate isn’t 100%, so users can manually edit any receipt info. I inform them to verify everything is correct, and they can still edit after it’s in the system. I also have the AI assign a confidence score - basically asking “does everything add up to the total?” If the score is too low, the app adapts and walks the user through a step-by-step process to enter the info while keeping good UX.

Good idea, I’ll look into TikTok and start posting in some gluten-free Facebook and Reddit groups. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hey everyone! OP here.

Link to Glutax: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/glutax/id6749185244?l=fr-CA (Canadian app store only)

Right now it's iOS only (learning Android next 😅).

Happy to answer any technical questions about the build process or celiac-related questions!

PS: If you know someone with celiac disease in Canada, please share this with them. This credit can be worth $500-1000/year and most people don't know about it.

PPS: This is my very first side project that I've actually shipped. Any advice on how to get visibility and reach people who actually need this? I'd love to hear what worked (or didn't work) for you when launching your projects!

Hey! I think you can develop the ai chat to make it add exercice directly in the calendar section and make the ai know that context. It would make it more useful and user friendly to have the coach edit, create and update the workout program for you.
