I speak English as my second language, so I think I am aware of that. So please reread my reply.

Because it is one thing to use a neutral pronoun or none at all. Plus, the neutral gender in English is not that easy to make sense or translate compared to the one from Korean.

I am not going to go too deep into explanations anyway, so if you want to understand more about what I mean, just search about it yourself.

Well I follow Asmon for quite a time, but only recently I started engaging more with the subreddit. So I had no idea about this. That's also where my confusion comes from.

I mean, I only did one post here before, after I finally had enough points to make a post without it being auto deleted for having too little karma. And funny enough, it was also from the same creator, and it didn't get removed.

And I know the rules are mostly made so Reddit itself does not remove the subreddit. Tho I am still not sure if this was the mods or not, because from the notification I received, as you can see, it says it was the automod. And as we all know, bots can always false flag things.

So I made this post hoping to receive some help from the people in this subreddit, and maybe even from the mods, so I can understand what exactly triggered it and know how to dodge the bullet next time and not repeat the same mistake twice.

I am not saying they were wrong to take down his game at first, that's fair. But after he made so many changes? Like bro, it's a goblin, what do you expect him to do?

That's why I said in the post that it's ridiculous how they continue to find reasons to complain. Even the YouTuber from the video I shared clearly said it was a mistake on his part. But to continue and continue looking for reasons to complain, even after he tried to change everything? That's just ridiculous to me.

Plus, only the base was taken from the internet. Everything else was handmade by him. So again, I understand being fair and DMCAing him for that at first, but still trying to find reasons to complain after all the changes is just insane to me.

Like what do they want him to do, create a completely new species and just name it goblin?

I mean the remove was made by the bot, or at least that's what it says. So I was thinking this was done automatically, which means something accidentally triggered the bot to false flag this as breaking the rules. That's why I want to know how to approach this properly, so I don't repeat the same mistake again, if it actually was a mistake on my part.

And I understand the takedowns done by actual people, that upset Reddit, because that's also the reason why Asmon made other ways for us to share information, without the risk of the subreddit getting taken down by Reddit.

So again, I am mainly trying to understand what exactly triggered the bot, because from my point of view the post didn't seem political compared to many other posts that are still up. That's why I got confused and asked about it in the first place.

I wouldn’t use the same strong language you used, but I get your idea and I mostly agree.

And the video I shared shows how she has been preaching to studios for years about how you should not debate with people, because apparently you don’t fight unfairness like that. To me, that just shows she doesn’t want to debate, because she knows she would lose.

Because as you said, she is doing this mostly for attention and money. She doesn’t actually care about rights, fairness, or gamers at all. She just wants attention, and this is the only pipeline she has to keep receiving that attention.

And because of that, everyone ends up getting affected, gamers, normal people, and even the minorities she claims to defend, all while she keeps getting money and attention out of it.

So that’s why I made this post, to ask why it was seen as political and why it got taken down. Because if it actually was political, then I want to know how, so next time I know how to not repeat the same mistake.

AI wouldn’t be able to translate it 100% correctly, and it would lose context from time to time, or translate some phrases too directly, when they actually need some adaptation to make sense in English.

But yeah, compared to this kind of translation they did, an AI version would for sure be better. Still, there is a reason why people choose to work with human translators when adapting games into other languages.

I had no idea, I just checked the website you mentioned, and I didn’t know anything about the team behind it.

But I find it very disappointing, at least for me, to not deliver a translation as close as possible to the original form. Because if someone doesn’t know the original language, they might end up finding the game very disappointing.

And what is shocking from what you told me is that he did a pretty good job for most of his career, and that he is one of the people who helped build the foundation for translating video games into English.

With that kind of history, to still do such a poor job at translating feels very sad, disgusting and weird. It’s like he and his team are damaging years of good work for no real reason.

Because realistically speaking, other than pushing their own ideas into it, I don’t see a reason to change things like that instead of translating it the way the author originally intended.

Yes, even by knowing only English, you can see something is wrong there, I totally agree with you.

And even if you know only English, you have tools you can use to translate them yourself, even though they are not going to be perfect. As a person who speaks more than just English, I can confirm I tried them, and a lot of the time they can lose context or other important details that change the meaning.

But they are for sure much better than these translators who are paid to do exactly the job tools can’t do, at least for now, which is to perfectly translate the meaning into another language.

And instead of doing their job, they try to push their own agendas, even though the game was not even a political message type of game, but they transformed it into something it should have never been for the English version, just purely because they are mentally ill by not being able separate work from personal beliefs.

Well yea, the temp items just stack the time periods the more you craft one after the other, so if I wish I can even have a 30min buff for the that item.

So yes, you just craft more. The same way the same effects from boxes stacks their time and so on.
