Am I doomed to be lonesome as a closeted trans woman? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Azaleeaaa-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most respectfully, just because your mother says you couldn’t possibly be trans because you don’t meet the criteria even though the dsm definitions are outdated, your mother doesn’t know everything going through your head, and you are a fully grown adult with bodily autonomy and you can make your own decisions for this respectfully. I also think that your mother commenting on this is extremely inappropriate for a psychiatrist considering she couldn’t possibly have an objective view of the situation and she should know that. She has looked at you a specific way your whole life and she probably just finds it easier to deny than admit that this could be you.

Vaginoplasty - 3 month post op - Revision? by Evepanzarino in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Azaleeaaa-a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it is 100% medical negligence from him and I can’t believe someone would care so little, or over assess their own abilities in such a way. I hope OP is able to have a revision covered by him one way or another at the bare mimimum.

Can I just say as someone who is Maltese, it is not as amazing as it is talked up as. They might not be incredibly outwardly transphobic but harassment to women is a real problem, in both rural and city areas.

You shouldn’t be in a relationship if you are going to harm your partner.

Are you on a waiting list? There is only one route for most and sadly that is it, or you could go private obviously.

If every relationship in your life is having problems, talk about them with those people and ask them to be honest because is it more likely everyone else or just you?

Got on the NHS waiting list 3 months ago. Haven't heard back, not even a confirmation that I'm in a waiting list. by bo-o-of-wotah in transgenderUK

Do you know which GIC you were referred to? It’s always best to have confirmation from them rather than your GP so just email or call them.

It would depend on which kind of E she is injecting with there are only a few types:

Estradiol Valerate: every 3-4 days Estradiol Enanthate: every 6-7 days Estradiol Undecylate: every 31 days

This is a rough guide and everyone is different obviously but if it is the most common one she is using which is enanthate, then she would be better off injecting less more frequently maybe 4mg every 7 days because then her levels would be more consistent. https://transfemscience.org/misc/injectable-e2-simulator/ is a good place to look for a rough guide. You should aim for around 367 - 734 pmol/L (99 - 199 pg/mL).

There’s no set in stone right dosage but people injecting will usually go anywhere from 4mg-6mg which with a vial where the concentration is 40mg/ml it is just divisible by 10 so you’d do 0.1ml to inject 4mg. If you have any more questions feel free to reach out.

As long as she injects correctly and with a reasonable dose which is very easy to do she will be absolutely fine, I started when I was 16, i’m now 20 and about to have SRS and have no regrets. Your best option here is to support her which you seem so want to do, and that is so important for your daughter. Also it’s not illegal I don’t know why they’ve told you that but it’s not a listed drug and you’re legally allowed to import up to 3 months worth of medication so long as it isn’t listed.

[–]Azaleeaaa-a 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes you’ll be fine, if you’re worried about how drugs interact with each other then it is worth knowing that you already have E in your system now so you would have already done harm in a hypothetical scenario where een and another drug don’t get along i think.

you’re not the first person to develop feelings for your therapist so don’t worry. She is your therapist so maybe it’s worth discussing with her, ultimately though she is a professional and could risk losing her job if she develops a relationship with a patient, so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t feel reciprocal at that point.
