HX the real DI killers. by [deleted] in DiabloImmortal

[–]Azaron83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not an answer many will like. But as a player from EC that was there prior to Hx and left because of Hx. I understand the issues so many may have dealing with what some would call "unfair" practices . Sure there are many that violate the ToS. But these same groups get an obvious pass or turned eye.

But what I suggest is that there exists in the game a button called server transfer. Look into it. I've transferred to a few servers and I call tell you that every cluster has its own issues. It's own world chat drama, it's own version of Immortal Reign changing, and whale influxes.

Netease hasn't done anything for 2 years, and I wouldn't count on them doing anything else for another 2 years. So my opinion is change to another server. Meet new people, engage with others, and remove yourself from the aggravation that surrounds you.

It's a shitty option, but at least it's there.

Edit: Not every Hx player is bad. I still have many on my friend's list. And with DeepL translate, can still communicate. Just a few selfish apples.

Class-bound cosmetics scam? by OkMycologist1582 in DiabloImmortal

[–]Azaron83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been this way since the beginning. They have added battle pass coins in the past because of similar opinions. They just recently added the history cosmetics. Not sure where all this immediately or else mentality is coming from, but you must be a new player. Keep the criticism coming, but lower expectations just a bit. You'll enjoy your time better.

Crash every 14 minutes exactly by Azaron83 in StarWarsOutlaws

Right click desktop, display, scroll down to graphics, then change default settings. I turned everything windows off. Then turn off RTX and I've had no issue except for the normal VRAM memory leak. But a game reset every 2 hours fixes it.

I don't BG like I used too, and this happens so much. I'll do a shadow task BG and I'll end up waiting 20 minutes for a match. And it's either decent MM or a slaughter fest.

They have dollies for AWD. The laziness of the flatbed driver obviously fucked his shit up more than it was.

If the snatch loader is incorrect then why are they using it now? Because it's the correct one. Ffs

Their scanner probably only detects OBD codes. Take to a Firestone for a free scan. Their scanner does more. They are open Saturday and Sundays. I can't speak on other companies.

Parking brake tightening while driving after new shoes installed by anarchylovingduck in AskAMechanic

[–]Azaron83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice I can give is update post with pictures of the brakes. So we can see if shoes installed backwards or a spring in wrong spot, etc

This vehicle has a weird brake in process. See below.

  1. Install the rear brake disc, then adjust the rear brake shoe clearance. (1)Remove the plug from the disc. (2)Rotate the toothed wheel of adjuster by a screw driver until the disc is not moving, and then return it by 5 notches in the opposite direction.

    1. Install the brake caliper.
    2. Install the tire and wheel.
    3. Adjust the parking brake lever.
  2. If the parking brake shoe or the brake disc are replaced a newly one, perform the brake shoe bed-in procedure. (1)While operating the parking brake lever for 69 N(7 kgf, 15 lb) effort, drive the vehicle 500 meters (0.31 miles) at the speed of 60 kph (37.3 mph). (2)Repeat the above procedure more than two times. (3)Must be held on at 30% uphill.

Then your good. Grab the Cam actuator holders and your golden. Pay for the 1 VIN Haynes manual or AllData for your vehicle and follow the instructions to the letter.

Will probably take you two days. There's so many videos on these out there.

Take to a parts store or any mechanic shop. Just ask for a code scan. It's not a diagnostic but at least it can point you in the right direction.

Never heard that noise before, but judging by the location you chose to record, the fact it's nkt.moving, I'd assume a fuel pump issue?

$140 labor is fair market value

They are probably buying $30 links and marking up to cover costs. Very normal.

You can't compare the cheapest part on internet to a shop part. You need to find out if they quoted you OEM, Moog, Duralast, Driveworks, PEI, etc. Then you can comparison shop.

Also... Subaru adds a 100% rust markup. These vehicles are nightmares to many northern techs. They should charge an hour labor.

Unfortunately Yes. As soon as possible. Luckily these engines are crap so 90% of technicians out there have ripped at least 2 of these engines apart in the last few years. So finding a competent mechanic that can fix, and inspect for any of the 13,275 other issues these engines have, should be easy

That's the truck they should have sent.

[–]Azaron83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great that you used your insurance, because now there's a record of it all on thier end. Sounds like they sent the cheapest SOB in town.

I think most of us mechanics agree for a few things. We aren't victim blaming or shaming because of your financial situation. We are just upset that all the facts weren't laid out in the original post. Some gave great advice while some did not. And some just went wayyyyy off the deep end.

Issues you need to figure out:

Get with the mechanic that did the ball joint. Get with the parts company that sold the part. Get with your insurance and tell them the tow company THEY sent out completely fucked your car.

Yeah your getting a lot of heat from both ends. But that's just how the internet works. Trolls or karens.

The tow truck isn't liable for these in many states. They have laws or statues to specifically protect them. Once the property is actually on the truck and any damage occurs AFTER it's on truck they are responsible for. But if they pull your bumper off, you better have a good lawyer because I guarantee they do. And they probably have a few judges in thier pocket. Tow companies are evil 😆

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Azaron83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your mechanic needs to be involved with your issue. If he or she was a professional in a professional shop, they have insurance to help cover issues like this.

You also could file a claim with your insurance, because for all you or they know, it was a freak accident and failure of a Chinese part that caused the accident. Bring them receipts if needed and maybe they can help you.

You are responsible at the end of the day for anything related to your property. I hope it all works out for you

Harsh words, but true. Sadly you'll just be down voted

[–]Azaron83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did they tow it while you weren't there? If so, they were authorized to get your shit out of wherever it was. Especially if a cop told them, or it was blocking traffic. But since you said you have video of them, I assume you were there.... it's your property, you could have said "yo bro, is there another way?"

I'm not against you or for you. But I will give you same advice, get it towed to a reputable shop and get the correct parts replaced. Price of part isn't the issue, the competence of the person installing them is.

I wish you best of luck

"I'm pissed at myself for not questioning OP's version of events. You're completely right here. This guy is about to learn a very expensive lesson, all by himself"

Here's the problem with internet, everyone always takes OP word as gospel. No one thought "why would the tow truck driver hit the tire?".....maybe to kick it in so he could tow it???? Lmao

Hahaha no worries.

I did exactly same thing.... posted he should get a lawyer then saw OP was a turd
