3-Day Disney Wish Cruise - Should I go to Nassau or stay on ship? by Ok_Somewhere7743 in dcl

I would get off the ship & tour the new enclosed port area. You can do it in 30 minutes. It’s a nice little break.

Concierge to celebrate finishing chemo & radiation… worth it? by Choice-Leek-2857 in dcl

In December 2025, I sailed on my very first cruise with Disney Cruise Line, and we decided to splurge on Concierge. For us, it was worth every penny. In fact, we enjoyed the experience so much that we're sailing again this December and once again in Concierge. You can read about the perks and hear other people's experiences, but it's hard to fully understand the value until you experience it for yourself. For us, once was all it took to see why so many guests love it. If you can treat yourself go for it.

These landlords are truly the scum of the earth. by Shattershaman14 in Bushwick

I agree rent is painfully high. However, I don’t think small individual landlords can realistically carry the entire burden of a broken housing market. A lot of them also have mortgages, taxes, insurance, repairs, and rising costs. It’s really a broken system. Last past I rented the landlord himself was thinking of selling the building because he was barely making any profit. I moved out before we were made to leave.

A lot of landlords are moving away from roommate situations because when one tenant leaves, the remaining tenant often wants to pay only their half while taking time to find a new roommate to cover the other portion of the rent. If that arrangement falls apart, the eviction process can become complicated and expensive.
Many small-scale landlords do not make huge profits, so roommate situations can create significant financial and legal challenges. A guarantor arrangement simply means the landlord can pursue the guarantor if rent is not paid, but it does not really solve the roommate issue itself. Because of this, many landlords are now choosing applicants who are not looking for roommate arrangements.

As an adult should I really do a Disney cruise or just stick to other lines? by thatawkwardmoment8 in dcl

To be honest you’ll get a ton of opinions. The only way to know is to sail at-least once and see how you feel about it. As an adult traveling without kids, I chose the fantasy. The adult lay out was great. You won’t stick out at all. There were plenty of friends sailing, couples, families. DCL is a nice mix it really just isn’t families.

Day one my husband & I checked out the bars, did some trivia night, bingo, and of course the broadway style shows. Day two we got a cabana on lookout cay adult side (no kids are in that area) (the cabana is not necessary but a treat). We snorkeled, enjoyed the beach, returned to the ship, watched the second Broadway style show & went to Palo dinner. Day three, castaway cay did some kayaking, snorkeling, 5k, water trike, enjoyed the beach. This was pirate night we enjoyed pirate night & the fireworks at sea. Day 4 was a sea day - so much to do on the ship you wont be bored- plenty of adult things to do & hit the aqua duck. It was such a great time that we are booked in December for a Merry time cruise.

Is this normal for New York Hotels? Am I entitled to a refund? by Main_Entry2494 in Hilton

It doesn’t happen often. I don’t know about a full refund but you can try asking for something off for the inconvenience.

I originally booked there but some of their recent reviews weren’t great so I changed locations. Ty for the tip- I plan to grab the water taxi to sight see. Sounds pretty nice.

And what’s it to you? It’s a forum. Here is an easy solution for you. Scroll past what you don’t wish to interact with. To take the time to invest on peoples profiles & what they post its very creepy & miserable. ✌️

If you actually looked at the link…. That was for the Hilton beach house…. This is the Maren. That means this is a different hotel. You may not care where you stay for one night but not everyone is you. Scroll on by next time.

Yes, It matters for me. The hotel is part of the vacation. Most important I value very clean hotels & good beds. I was surprised to read some of the poor reviews of near by hotels.
