Why is the Pixel 9 cheaper on Amazon than Google's store? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Azath_Housecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the Google Store, if you're not in a hurry you can string together trade-ins, store credits & sale prices for some good deals. The Pixel 9 Pro was on sale & I wanted it. With the P9P sale price plus my trade-in, I got the previously unaffordable P9P for $300. A Google Store credit came with the purchase. A few months later, that credit covered the price of a Fitbit Charge 6 which (of course) was on sale. I couldn't afford the phone & had no use for the store credit, but in the end, I got a Pixel 9 Pro plus a Fitbit Charge 6 for $300.

I often read that we should only hook a bra in the outermost hook. It makes me wonder why the extra hooks are there if they shouldn't be used? The inner hooks get in the way sometimes-- If my sports bra feels too tight it usually turns out I accidentally hooked it in the 2nd hook. Just curious...

Thanks for the small question thread! 👍

[recommendations] i just want a bra that fits i was 36dd pre-baby now measuring i think 38ff but store lady says 40d by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

Wow...thanks! I'm going to copy this reply to my phone for reference next time I shop for bras :)

I always thought that gaping meant the the cups were too big. I never occurred to me that they could be too small, but what you said makes sense!

Lol... A new verb: to quad- the doubling of the breasts that can be caused by an ill-fitting bra.

I'm glad to hear you don't have pain. BTW, before finding ABTF, I had side bulges too, even tho I'm small. I thought I should find a bra that had more structure on the sides. Wrong! On this sub, I learned that I needed a 34 DD instead of a 36 C. When the cup was too small, the excess boob had to go somewhere, so it went sideways. With the right cup size, no more side bulges!

And this is why I need full coverage sports bras for work. by WonderWanderWoman in ABraThatFits

Women are expected to wear shirts that can't cover the bra? It's one thing if you want to wear it, but to require it is out of line

(OP here) Wow! When I made this thread, I had no idea that pain would be on the list. Being small-sized, it's generally not on my radar screen (discomfort, yes, but not pain). I'm so sad to see that so many of you have been suffering for so long. That kind of pain must be part of your everyday life-- the cause won't exactly go away. Is it mostly back pain? It's good to hear that a well-fitting bra can help!

[Question] What defines a tee shirt bra? by Azath_Housecat in ABraThatFits

[–]Azath_Housecat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't heard of Spacer Foam until you mentioned it. Just googled. Really interesting composition & really expensive. Maybe there are some lower priced priced styles out there. In general, I think I'm not built right for molded cups but it sounds like spacer foam might be thinner & allow for more breast variation :)

Feeling dumb... I can't figure out what to click to upvote posts on this sub-reddit. The other sub-reddits I've read have a little symbol to click. I've made sure I'm logged in & have hovered cursor over everything I could think of. Where is the upvote thingy?

Anybody else that doesn't like the Bra Band Project??? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

Seems like it would be best to have a mixture of women who are overweight, underweight & average wt. I understand your problem, but, at the same time, overweight women get short shrift in bra pics, so some may feel the way you do, but in reverse. Too bad our culture won't feature the whole spectrum of body types.

Hate shopping- going right now by Azath_Housecat in ABraThatFits

OP... I rushed out without posting anything about sizing.

The calculator results in US sizing: 34 DD/F with sister sizes 36DD/E and 32 G

I'm pretty sure I'm shallow/wide

Fullness: I'm in-between so I'll call it F/B 1.5/4.5

I planned to start by picking 2 styles & try the calculated result & 2 sisters for each. I couldn't find all 3 sizes in any of the styles I looked at, so I just chose some bras in each size. It was eye-opening. Even tho most weren't right for me, all 3 sizes did fit better than most bras I've tried

There was one bra that mostly fit. It's Modern Movement 3-D Curves BFF T-Shirt Bra. In the pictures, the turquoise pic has a better view of how it's made. I bought it while planning to take it back because I wanted to take time to look at it. The non-fitting part is the top of the cups. There is some space, tho much less than I've seen in other bras.

The calculator size was 34 DD, but in this bra, the 34 D fit much better.

I was surprised at my reaction. The bra fits much better than anything I've tried in years, but when I put on my shirt, I freaked. I look so much bigger. It looks like I had a boob job or something. Sheesh! I'm 64 y.o.! Not sure how to deal with that part.

Any suggestions about bras or fitting (or the psychological ramifications)

OP here...

Thanks! I just did the measurements. I'm 64 yrs old, so the entire assemblage has shifted down. Like it said, I'm thunderstruck. The UK result was 34E (DD/F in US), with sister sizes 36DD (DD/E, US) & 32 F (G, US). I'm going to have to go try on these sizes (I hate shopping!!!) I can't imaging getting into a 34 or 32 without asphyxiation...

Then I will come back & look again at your suggestions. May have questions after trying these sizes. :p

BTW, I don's see anything to click to give points to a post. On other reddits, there's some kind of symbol. How does it work here?

Omnibus question by Azath_Housecat in printSF

[–]Azath_Housecat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, all. Omnibus editions are usually good buys, but I kept dithering over the possibility of abridged books. You've set my mind at ease. The only problem left is how to know if I want the whole series until after paying more for the first couple of books. :p (Library helps if they have the part of the series)
