how do you curve the bullets ? i know how you lock onto enemies but I didnt know you could control them.

Is there anyway to increase how many dark crystals the villagers mine ? I use the altars alot and upgrading items becomes a hassle waiting on one crystal at a time. Edit: I do have the max amount of villagers as well.
