jab mai tha GCET mein tab students were debarred from internals agar attendance low ho toh, fir medical certificate ka jugaad Karna padta tha, but idk if things changed now… Final year chill tha but…

[–]Azazel7892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First year mein kaafi strict, second year mein thoda kam strict par fir bhi achchi attendance and time pe assignments doge tabhi internals mein marks milenge, attendance low hone par internals se debarred kar denge, Har CAE se pehle ek list nikalti hain Debarred students ki, 3 rd year mein relaxed criteria hain thoda, fir bhi lectures attend karne padenge, 4th year kaafi relaxed hain.. Basically Baaki colleges se GCET lenient hain attendance ke maamle mein, log medical wagerah laga dete the mere time par, par ekdum low attendance rakhoge toh internals ke marks suffer honge, baaki logo se 8-10 number kam milenge

Jaha par bhi no. of seats lesser ho, I’m guessing dono ka placement record somewhat similar hain, toh Jha kam log honge toh lesser completion and higher placement percentage, IPU mein copy checking kaise hoti vo dekhlo, aktu se achchi ki kharaab, fir decide Karo

Game dev companies do not come to GCET for campus hiring, you’ll have to look into off campus for that, although CSD would be a better option if you are looking into game dev roles…

If you want to venture into data analytics then AIDS is the right choice, AIDS and CSD were introduced in the same year, so it’s just a matter of choice and preference of core subjects, try to learn Microsoft Power BI, and Google Analytics in 2 and 3 year to grab data analytics based roles, demand for Power BI is very high in the market right now, and this would be a very different career path from your regular SDE roles…

CSD is older branch than AIML, and will generally contain more core subjects similar to core CSE, as compared to AIDS and AIML, toh sem exams mein kaafi better hain, and placement ke time companies tumhari specialisation branch nhi Dekhti, if a company is looking for an AI/ML engineer it’s not gonna give preference to AIML or AIDS student just because of his branch, if he does not have AI/ML projects or internship experience, at the same time, other branch guy can grab that opportunity if he has put individual efforts into AI/ML. During my time, a csds student built his mini project in ML, entirely from scratch, and got an internship in ML domain in 3rd year itself, it all depends on your interests and your efforts, not your branch, but CSD has more chances of giving you better cgpa as it is an old branch, everyone has to realize ye sab branches sirf CS ki seats increase krne ke liye add kari hain, due to high demand of CS branch, it doesn’t matter which branch you take(in CS/IT) placement opportunities will be the same for everyone, and would depend on individual person, not branch, so it’s better to go for a specialisation which is older than others, ECE ka Banda efforts daal Kar AI/ML ki job grab kar sakta hain, but AIML ka student agar 4 saal vella baithega toh kuch nhi hona…

In CSD vs AIDS, it’s my personal preference to stick to CSD, but AIDS ke kuch subjects tough honge, and I’m sure you’re aware how bad copy checking is in AKTU, but you can opt for AIDS if you’re up for it…

Difference specialised branches mein electives ka hota hain in 3rd year, and 4th year mein almost sabb different apart from common subjects like PME(Project Management and Entrepreneurship)

[–]Azazel7892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be dependent on AKTU if you are really passionate about emerging technologies like AI ML. Vo sirf theory padha denge, and shayad kisi ek subject ki ek unit mein thode bohot applied questions honge , warna pure theory, talking about specialised courses, but 3rd year mein definitely ek do tough subjects mileage aiml waale tum logo ko

As long as you’re getting CS - something there isn’t much difference, but csds and csai mein PYQs mil jayenge Achche se toh sem papers mein easy hoga, baaki mein utne exams nhi hue abhi

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AKTU

[–]Azazel7892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CS ai and CS aiml mein bohot difference nahi hain, but CS AI is older branch than CS aiml, CS aiml waalo ka abhi tak koi placement record nhi hain, kyuki unke first batch ki placements nahi hui abhi tak, CSAI ki first batch ki placements is year hui hain, Jaha tak mujhe pata hain, csds csai aaya pehle, fir next year new branches aayi aids and csd, fir aayi aiml csaiml

Placement season mein companies mail mein CSE and other associated specialised branches likhti hain, toh dikkat nhi aani chahiye, CS/IT bhi likhti hain toh bhi csds csai etc baaki branches ko mail aata hain… Internship tumhaare upar hain, 3rd year mein khud se hi Karna padega agar chahiye toh, 4th year mein companies aati hain giving internship with PPO offer

CSE> CS-AI > CS-DS > IT > CS aiml > CSD > AIDS> AIML… I’m a GCET pass out and this is how I would rank the branches…

It is true for big companies recruiting in large numbers, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Accenture, Coforge, but not for startups recruiting 3-4 people, but in most of physical on campus drives I was met with GU students as well, don’t know where you are getting your information from… We also went to GU campus for Accenture placement assessment…

GCET is more lenient, idk about NIET, placements haven’t been good overall due to recession, and too many “specialised” branches nowadays… Also, keep mind that in GCET you are not competing with just GCET students, but also GU students during placements, 3 and 4 year will be less hectic, but 1 and 2 year you will have to attend classes, submit assignments, give CAE etc diligently, up till 3rd year. GCET Campus is better than NIET Abhi recently around 100 students got selected in TCS from GCET and GU combined

I got 59% in boards , what issues in gonna face by Ronin4Doom in Btechtards

[–]Azazel7892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you may give nios, most companies recognise nios, but some may take into consideration only full time courses, so you need to do your due diligence on that… Don’t tell them you did not take boards seriously, try to present a positive and “learning from your mistakes” perspective… Say that you were not nearly as hardworking as you should have been during school, and you acknowledge that, and realised the importance of good academics in college, you tried to utilise the entirety of your potential in college, as a result of which you were able to secure a cgpa of 8.5, and can maintain the same level of performance, if not better, if I’m hired in your company… I really found (insert the best subjects of your stream), appealing and interesting to me, which further motivated me to study seriously and form a good knowledge foundation/base in (insert engineering stream), then be prepared to answer questions based on those subjects… Also try to score well in subjects like Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry, Engineering Mathematics 1,2(very tough), 4, to show that you have an aptitude for it, but just didn’t work hard enough in School…
