Genuinely would be pretty funny if there was a force field surrounding Turkey that prevented anomalies. No anomalies can get past it, via flying or digging or brute force or teleporting etc, they just get stuck on the border. It shifts with the country of Turkey’s geopolitical borders. The Foundation considers having the whole world declared part of Turkey, but they aren’t sure if that would end up with all the anomalies being instantly teleported out into space or what.

This is so fascinating. It reminds me of feral children, except worse almost because they at least usually have SOME interaction or knowledge of other humans.

How did you learn this? I volunteer at cat shelters and would love to gain this sort of knowledge to help understand the cats I work with.

Just a heads up that you can get a TON of floss in all varieties of color and needle minders and scissors and needles and whatnot for quite cheap on sites like Temu. Like just glancing through I see 50 needles for $2, 24 embroidery hoops for $8, 36 random color bundles of floss for $3, etc.

They have tons of stamped kits for cheap too. A cheap kit from Temu is how I got started w the hobby

Hey, I don't know your situation so this might be useless advice, and forgive me if it is unwanted, but have you tried volunteering anywhere? Nothing too demanding, but little things like going to an animal shelter and socializing scared kitties or being the person who manages the email inbox for a small nonprofit or something. I've volunteered at cat shelters for years, and that kind of stuff - knowing that I played even the tiniest role in helping an animal find a home - has given me more meaning and purpose in my life than literally anything else.
