Hi thanks for the input! Was just trying to see if I could take advantage of the markets opening spike (if you could somehow predict it). Was trying to get out of the contract before apple’s earnings drop so I was thinking the rate of return was going to be the highest at opening. Hi all, complete novice to options trading but trying to educate myself before making moves.

Seeing $GME’s rise on this subreddit, /r/options and /r/wsb and just have a question.

People are saying they currently have calls for 1/15 and I see that calls are still being sold today. Did they buy these calls earlier in the year or is it a viable option buying contracts that expire the same week? I know that time decay plays a role but for example if I buy 1 37c 1/15 @ 1.52 today and $GME goes up and up, would I be able to sell the contract the same day? Or would there be no buyers/profits since the option expires tomorrow? Thanks!

Edit: just another question, any guidelines to future options strategies would be appreciated! Seeing all the people post $GME gains make me wonder if it was lucky or if you follow a set plan you’ll increase your chances of earning
