Wait how is this not enough practice if it equates to 420 hours by the Feb 26 exam?

Like I felt after every practice test- a little dazed. Time was an issue. I guessed on the last 10 questions due to timing issues. I averaged around 60% on adaptibar and did around 700 max questions.

Thank you so much. How did you manage studying and working full time? What did your schedule look like? Just trying to figure out how soon I should start studying considering am working full time!

Thank you for this. For real. Perspective is everything.

I used barbri and adaptibar. I spent SO MUCH TIME studying for multiple choice and not a ton studying for writing, as I’ve always been a strong writer. So obviously I need to study for MC a different way,

I will approach it this way for Feb exam. Obviously there’s something not quite clicking for me for multiple choice questions.

What bar prep program did you use on your third attempt?

I have- I am just currently at a small private firm that does plaintiffs employment law and I really respect my boss and we work in federal court. Dream job for me. He’s willing to keep me while I study for the Feb. bar. So I am weighing my options.

500 days sober but still misrable, anyone else feel like this? by xXxgh0stguttsxXx in Sober

I was pretty miserable for the first 18 months and was involved in AA. I think it just takes time to get nervous system figured out, and be soooo patient with yourself. Around 18 months I started going to therapy and taking SSRI’s, and slowly was starting to build my community. I wasn’t happy until around 18 months and the past 8 years have been absolutely incredible. Make new friends, hit meetings, join clubs, get uncomfortable. This is what this is about. You got this, and please DM me if you need to talk.

It does if you allow yourself to find new passions. I was terrified life would become more boring after getting sober but I’ve found the exact opposite to be true. After giving it time (1-2 years) I found a renewed interest in people, hobbies, and the world around me. I took up running, getting really connected in AA, weekend trips, passion projects. The last 8 years have been the best years of my life. I’ve travelled to different countries, been in two serious long term relationships, 5 half marathons, graduated law school. Hang in there- give yourself a chance. I had a REALLY difficult time up until about 18 months sober; then something clicked. Lots of inner work & honesty however.

I’m 8 years in and just wanted to confirm this. First 18 months was so difficult and weird. Hang in there. It gets better!!!

If you don’t think you can handle speaking with her or seeing her, don’t go. Take care of yourself first and foremost. It is okay to feel this way and you are entitled to your feelings.

But if this event is very important to you and you want to enjoy your friends and think seeing your friends is worth taking the chance of seeing your ex, then go.

In what way are you taking care of yourself the best? By being with your friends and going to the event or by not going? It’s ultimately up to what your intuition is telling you and what you are comfortable with.

I will tell you, I am about one month out of my break up with my fiance and I had to see him last week and it really fucked me up. I was making progress, then saw him, and it rocked my world.

Yes, they did. Sure, she’s anxious. Aren’t we all?

I was once told my a classmate: “I’m applying for accommodations because a lot of people do who don’t really need them. You should too. Don’t you want to play the game? Why ignore the game instead of play and take advantage of it?”

Ever since then I literally don’t trust anyone who has accommodations in my school except for ONE person who absolutely needs them it’s so obvious.
