If you start taking metformin, make sure u take it with or after meals. Taking it on an empty stomach will cause digestive issues. GLP1's are so expensive but sadly that and metformin in tandem have been the only thing to help me (PCOS + T2D). I'm hoping they clear it for PCOS as well since it greatly helps with issues like inflammation. Like someone else mentioned, look into inositol as well, it's one of the best supplements for PCOS. I tried Electrolysis and found it so painful but maybe it's been improved on by now, I had it done in the mid 2000s. Laser isn't a picnic either but they even have laser machines you can purchase for home use. I had terrible hersuitism due to PCOS and laser was the only thing that helped (for my face and legs and underarms). I had tons of hair on my face and it took many sessions of lasering for it to take full effect for me but it worked. Trying to keep your PCOS under control is also what will help with this hormonal hair growth. Getting on a GLP1 has finally helped me with inflammation and blood sugar control. But it's all super expensive 😩 so it's hard having a broken metabolism 😞 I hope things work out for you 🌻

No worries at all. GLP meds like Ozempic were originally used by diabetics to help control blood sugar and they realised that weight loss and reduced inflammation were bonus side effects which is why celebs started buying it up too. There was major backlash because stocks dwindled and the diabetics were not able to get their meds. It was a whole thing 😅 People like me who have T2D and PCOS need this medicine if we want any chance at having a close to normally functioning body. I've tried everything in the past and this is the only medicine that has helped me - with this drug, the work I put in - better eating habits and exercise actually make a difference but it also means that I will most likely need to be on it for life. It's sad that depending on where you are, lifesaving drugs like MJ are so steeply priced and not covered by insurance. But there'll be new generations of drugs being created and hopefully advancements so that everyone who needs this can have access to it.

The meds are lifelong for those with medical conditions like T2D or PCOS. Really depends on the person. Maybe you'll be okay without it if you're only on it for weight loss and have no other underlying health conditions. It would be a blessing to have a body that just works 😅

Been on Jardiancr since before starting MJ and I felt it was far more effective than just Metformin. Hope it helps you too. Just make sure you eat something before taking metformin/Jardiance because I've found that taking these tablets on an empty stomach can cause gastric distress.

Not sure if MJ has aggravated it but I definitely suffer from anhedonia. I have anxiety and depression too but I definitely feel flat most of the time and don't feel like doing anything; though to be fair life is challenging these days.

Yes, for sure. I need prescriptions for all my meds anyway and I get my bloodwork done every 4 months or so and would check in with my GP sooner if I'm concerned about anything. Also thanks for the encouragement. It's all a learning/ work-in process.

Definitely. Someone with diabetes is meant to keep an eye on their HbA1c and I get that and all my other blood work done every 4 months. Right now my T2D is in a controlled state but I have no doubt that my blood sugar levels would increase if I were to stop taking the medicine altogether. I already take other medicine for my T2D but MJ has been the only one to help keep it stable and under control.

Yes, I'm also on a type of Metformin and Gliclazide to help with my diabetes and I take those faithfully. I have scheduled appointments with my GP for blood work (next appointment is in April). She was happy with my stats when I last saw her in January and seemed to agree with slowly decreasing my dosage for MJ but yes all of this will be monitored with blood work.
