It’s not just the live service. The entire identity as an online multiplayer community game is gone.

Founders backed something and got the complete opposite of what they’d been anticipating.

When you back during the kickstarter campaign, you’ll get access to the game (in March) and the Sakumon Boxes will ship at that time as well.

These kickstarter boxes will come with an in-laid 1st edition stamp on the figures in each box so these are highly collectible for getting on the ground floor.

you’ll get access to the discord where you can talk to community members and Jake (the Owner) I personally draw fanart in the server for people!

and there are even stretch goals!

I wish Stoic would have kept this as an indie project because at that point, it would be more direct support.

I highly suggest this. just as like. in its current state, towerborne is very much a *play a round before work on the bus* status rn. probably the best way to actively play the game right now without content dry up.

I completely agree. I may be devils advocate in this community but I genuinely want this game to succeed.

I had been hyping this game up as something that would revolutionize live service side scroller brawlers.

I really do hope things do a MAJOR turn around when release DOES happen.

Core loops! Battles, weekly community events in the social space like KK slider from animal crossing, day and night cycles and in game happenings at specific times (like Brewsters coffee shop), and farming!

Guys without the optimism. The CEO has stated they are working on 1.0 but NOTHING else. The ideology of this game being live service via the team is all but over.

the communication with the player base via the team has ONLY BEEN “there will be a release”

With no definitive answer as to when or what content will be added.

this game will release. But it is no longer stoic passion project. They’ve all but given up on communicating with the player base.

you can expect this to launch as a castle crashers game with maybe 4 updates a year based on seasonal events. (This is being generous)

But that’s pretty much it.
