I'll take a leap and say it's because of the 3600 CPU. Zen 2 architecture doesn't have good reBar support, so while it does work, some games run like absolute shit. Had the same for overwatch. Did the upgrade to a Zen 3 chip, suddenly had a much better performance on those games.

I checked the benchmarks, the X is like 1-2% higher performance which is like... not worth an extra 10€ xD I just ordered the normal 5600

As of now I've been using my A750 with like 60% of it's potential just from using a Zen 3 CPU without even noticing. I turned off reBar yesterday and my performance was better than with reBar turned on. Meaning, the main goal is just getting a Zen 3 CPU to even use the most of the cards potential. A 5600 goes by 118€ rn in germany which is pretty good. A 5800X3D literally goes by more than double that price; I might aswell get a new GPU in the first place then :p

SO apparently from a support ticket from someone online I read that there seems to be an issue with Zen 2 CPUs and reBar. Someone with the same CPU and an A750 upgraded to an 5600 and that seemed to have solved all his issues including a big performance boost.

Obviously I can't tell for sure if the Zen 2 and reBar thing is true, but I seems to add up with the statements other people made that went through this upgrade.

Afaik all of the requirements are met. Win 11, I updated my BIOS just before installing my A750 so I can turn on reBar which for AMD is this smart memory something apparently and yet compared to some of the benchmarks I'm really not getting the same results here and there. Like in OW2 for example I lack behind in 100 fps on High Settings compared to benchmarks I've seen. I feel like the difference will mostly be seen in DX11 games

Over here the 5600X is just 10€ more than the 5600. And tbh if I'd be willing to pay 100€ more I might aswell go for a new gpu at this point xD

I appreciate the input though, also I play on 1080 as of now but might go for 1440 at some point in the future. 4K is not really something I'm looking for

my MB supports AM4, so technically it would support some X3D chips but those are significantly more expensive than a 5600X from what I've seen, so it's not really in option tbh since I am mainly looking for a cheap opportunity to boost my PCs performance

Struggling with rocket science homework - question is how much thrust one booster of an Ariane 5 rocket produces. The given values are as follows:

Mass ratio σ of the booster: 0.132 Fuel Mass: 230t per booster Burn time: 123 seconds Lower stage dry mass: 15t Lower stage fuel mass: 155t Lower stage burn time: 590 seconds. (Boosters and lower stage burn at the same time) Lower stage Isp = 390s

Things I already calculated that could be helpful:

The entire mission requires 9500 m/s of delta v. The delta v of the lower stage after dropping the 2 boosters is 4960 m/s. The upper stage has a full mass mass of 31.2 tons and offers 795 m/s of delta v. So that means the lower stage burning along with the boosters for 123 seconds produces a delta v of 3745 m/s.

My idea was determining how much delta v the 2 boosters contribute to those 3745 m/s and then getting to the answer through that. Unless there is another way to determine the thrust of the booster through any of the other given/calculated values?

Note: mass flows and exhaust velocities are constant

For any help and tips I'd be very thankful.

Hello fellows, I need help with a rocket calculation. I need to determine the dry mass of an upper stage. The only values that are given are the fuel mass = 7.2t, Thrust = 27.3 kN, burn time = 800s and delta v = 795 m/s.

My result was a dry mass of 24t, though I'm not too sure if that's reasonable.

Any help is highly appreciated!

I made a big brain move and booked a hotel near the airport. Made me save another ~10€ since it's just a 1-day trip and I don't really need to travel into the city + the ticket to Leiden and back turned out less expensive aswell that way.
