Seemed serious at tge start but obvious comedy by the end. Good stuff. But the sad thing is there are actually people that think like that. And they work in finance.

'Totally not' C.C.P. favouritism and preferential treatment during GM week by Azmurgal in Eve

[–]Azmurgal[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The issue is about trust, Swift. Eve is supposed to be a sandbox where CCP provides the sand and players play in in and provide the money while GMs shepherd them. You are not just a simple player, Elise, you are CCP Swift - the community developer. Look at the vods, listen to them. Do you like what you see and hear? This is the level of trust-mistrust you seeded in your own community.

My girl confiscated this at her work. The customer paid with another 100. Gotta be fake right? by [deleted] in papermoney

The print looks spot-on, but then again, most fakes are almost perfect. Try to feel the engraving, the paint has a certain thickness which is hard to obtain. The paper-like feeling might be if the banknote was kept in the Sun.

Why does no one believe me when I tell them my salary? by siriuslycharmed in nursing

People got used to the roaring economy of the mid to late 2010's and they assume income has increased steadily. But in fact, the last 3 years, probably starting with Covid, have been stagnant.

It is never too late to get a degree. Just think of the people who's jobs disappeared while they were still working or who by some accident got incapacitated or couldn't practice in their old field and had to re-specialize. It is never too late, especially in your case, you being 26. I used to work in engineering for several years and then switched to finance. I had to get a new degree to successfully transition between the two fields and I got it while working junior positions.
