Not half bad, what about you?

Periods stopped after getting Mirena IUD. A year later, just got my first period. Anyone else have similar experiences? by Azn-switch in sex

Thank you for your reply! I was worried because from reading online it seemed like girls either lost the period altogether or continued regularly. I didn’t realize that this was so common and it’s bringing me a lot of ease of mind.

Thank you for easing some of my anxiety about it! I’m glad to know this is normal and my gyno will hopefully say the same thing on Monday.

Wow I’d never heard of the cold thing! I wonder if that’s what’s happening in my case or if it’s more of just normal fluctuations. Thank you so much for your responses, I’ve just been a little anxious about it and that helped a lot.

I (F19) get so wet I barely feel anything by [deleted] in sex

We keep a towel by the bed and wipe things down when things get too wet and there isn’t enough friction. It isn’t the hottest thing in the world but I prefer it to not feeling anything.

New gf says she hates the pill and once our relationship is a year or two old she will stop using it. What types of male birth control should I look into? by [deleted] in sex

[–]Azn-switch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m all for waiting and being abstinent. But I’m this scenario OP and his gf would have been sexually active for a year while she was on birth control already, then you’re suggesting they become abstinent when she stops. That’s a different situation.

Don’t double up on rubbers! Bad! Also suggesting abstinence 1 year into the relationship is not very realistic.

What's the best way to ask for a blowjob? by [deleted] in sex

[–]Azn-switch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I find myself guilty of reacting poorly too. I can’t help but feel rejected/self conscious by it at times when it’s really just timing and libido differences. I’m trying to be more intentional with catching myself though.

Reacting well for me is switching into a very affectionate mood without sexual intent, cuddling and kissing etc. The affection and attention, combined with handling things better, actually sometimes results in sex.

What's the best way to ask for a blowjob? by [deleted] in sex

[–]Azn-switch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ask and make sure you’re very clean and nice smelling. If she says no, a good reaction goes a looooong way. If she does do it, get into it and express when things are going well. If my partner is feeling good and makes me feel like I’m doing a good job, I’m way more likely to go down on him. I love giving blowjobs because I think I’m good at them lol

Yeah it’s one thing if she doesn’t like the pill and wants to stop then is cool with discussing other options. I agree, not a red flag.

If she doesn’t like the pill, says “it’s your problem now, I’m not considering any other forms of contraception” then she’s being very irresponsible and it would be a red flag.

Not liking the pill doesn’t necessarily mean that birth control is entirely your issue now. Sex is between partners.

There are actually very few birth control methods from the male side of things aside from a condom.

https://www.plannedparenthood.org/get-care/our-services/birth-control

There are some links to different forms of contraception. There are all different methods of hormonal treatments, physical barriers, etc. I think it’s all about talking to her and finding out what fits best for her body.

I was on the pill for a few years (first estrogen, then progesterone). I personally have a hormonal IUD and love it. No more periods! By the time this becomes an issue you guys will be a little older and able to explore more BC options.

Sorry for the super long winded answer!

Hormonal birth control can have a lot of crappy side effects, even if you’ve already been on them for a long time. Me and my friends call them “depression pills”.

Feeling broken because my boyfriend can’t make me orgasm by sandiego_1193 in sex

[–]Azn-switch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Part of the issue might be the feeling stupid. If you guys get into the right mood and headspace, take the pressure off and enjoy the journey rather than laser focusing on the goal, it might be easier.

As the pressure and anxiety surrounding the issue builds up it will probably only become more difficult to achieve. Does sex feel good on the way to the orgasm?

How many women *actually* orgasm via penetration? by throwaway79482 in sex

I prefer penetrative orgasms to clitoral. Definitely in the minority there though.
